Description:
Sun Body's name seems like a metaphor in itself. For a band that consists of a mere few people, the sound they bring to the table is beyond limits colossal, scorching, all encompassing. Crushing crescendos, bleak, stern lyricism, and a sound that breathes new life to into war-torn threads of numerous rock genres, the only word you can truly speak to yourself is: Profound. Period.
CDs produced by Cavern Brew Records are available as well!
Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And give Zach some love. Thank You. :)

Boy do these die quickly lately. Anyways. New album coming out in November. But here's this stale old thang. Thanks for the kind words, the 26 full album downloads and WOW thanks for this: (http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/71840/Eichin-Schmeichin-Senioritis/) Clearly, I must've written this myself in my sleep or something.

The production in this is nice and crisp, has an autumn feel to it. The music itself is kind of generic. Your voice isn't bad. Are you trying to avoid generic chord progressions by keeping your chord progressions minimal? Maybe try instead to throw some kind of unusual chord in there. Same goes for the melody.
After all, when those harmonies kick in it's very cozy. Lovely female vocals. A little bit Fleet Foxes-esque, and I can see this kind of being a Jefferson Airplane type of thing for some reason, but I do wish there was a bit more going on. ALSO- best advice I ever heard for lyrics writing is to always make sure there's some imagery in there. And I would highly recommend this for you. Don't just make it "me vs you" statements. Throw some action in there and throw some objects in there. Otherwise the lyrics usually end up falling flat.
I just noticed that this is merely one song from an entire album. I may be back to talk about the rest. So far it seems like you have potential.

>>68538413
Thought it was cool at first, seen it posted so many times though and it kinda wore off
>>68538373
I listened to some of "Nerve Parasite." I can dig wacky noise, and this is some nice wacky noise, but I'm not sure if it's going to stick in my mind that much. I can easily see it fitting right in on one of those Anthologies of Noise and Electronic Music volumes, though. The question is would it stand out. And I'm not so convinced.
>>68538413
This is one of those things that is well produced and all but not really my style and kind of bounces right off of me. Sorry.
>>68538527
The harmonies on "I Don't Need Your Sympathy" are nice. Kind of small too, I like that. I also can't tell if the first two songs have some kind of tinkly percussion thing going on or if your guitars are just very shiny and jangly. I like that. Songwriting doesn't do much for me though.
>>68538574
Funnily enough, I was just thinking about this album for some reason. I've heard it before. It has a very good grasp of atmosphere. It doesn't fully escape the general dullness that unfortunately most of these projects seem to have to my ears, but it ain't bad.
>>68538729
I hope you don't mind me criticizing it. I'm just trying to keep these threads from becoming a useless circlejerk.
>>68538763
me saying "ok" was just me letting you know i read it
>>68538717
Bonus Noise here. Agreed I don't think I am really a great songwriter. I mostly just like to record things, and every once in awhile I will come up with a decent melody that I flesh out into a song.
There is a shitty toy piano in the first song at least, so that's the tinkly sound.
>>68538803
Oh ok
>>68538811
Ah, I love shitty toy pianos. I recommend you use more shitty toy piano.
>>68538879
Yeah? It's such a piece of shit though I have to be careful which keys I use because most of them aren't right. It's just plastic hammers hitting thin metal rods of different lengths. Also gave it to my niece before I moved to Philly. Now she rocks the shitty toy piano.

Hey man, I don't know how much this means to you, but I am listening to this right now and it's absolutely incredible. It's the complete embodiment of every aspect of drone/ambient music I enjoy. This is powerful, dark, yet incredibly emotional. I love how distorted and serene the intro track becomes near the end, and I especially love how muffled and bass-y it gets, while sharp synth leads occasionally pierce their way through the mix. I feel like I'm being whisked away into some beautiful and terrifying landscape—a scene similar to the album cover.
So yeah, I don't know if this is ever gonna get much attention, but I love it a lot. Keep doing what you're doing and you got +1 fan

I've released 6 full length and 12 EPs this year, I can't release more.

THIS
the main problem with bandcamp threads is that the 99,99% of people who enter here are artists, we already know each other, like fuck I listen to pleasance house when I wake up, listen to droopies at work, listen to epiglottis while drinking coffee, and even listen to windowlistener while doing hard drugs.
we need to introduce more friends and artists here, at least for me, this is like a private facebook group at this point haha
>>68550663
It's mainly because the internet made indie music oversaturated.
People don't want to listen to amateurs when they could see hot new music recommended by actual music reviewers.
But that's just what I think. I would rather focus on supporting the local scene, doing concerts. It would be really fortunate for me, because the noise scene in Hungary consists of like 7 people, and some of them are just shitposting idiots screaming edgy racist shit in their microphones that goes through 40 fuzz pedals.
Nothing interesting in that. Nothing interesting in laptop noise either.

Also, this is Bandcamp GENERAL, you don't have to post your own. Everyone's free to promote other artists they find not appreciated enough.
Bandcamp-related discussions also go here. No need for threads like these to be only about the same 20 people posting the same 20 albums.
We also need more listeners. If half of the daily posters go away nothing will change except for the thread dying sooner.

This is alright. I'm always a fan of copious amounts of distortion and echo. The performance ain't bad either, so since you've got that and the production going for you, try to focus more on songwriting next. My advice is always to throw in some weird chords that maybe at first don't seem like they fit in.
>>68553818
My expectations were so low for this and it was actually kinda nice. Know You Now and It Snot You were the best tracks. Ceramic Hog was also good; I like how you were making your guitar sound a bit like a sitar. Overall, some very nice choices for chords throughout, but maybe take it all a bit more seriously if you actually want to make anything that people will return to. (Although I can see myself ending up returning to this.) Also, the album cover is gross. But who cares. And maybe don't charge money just yet.
>>68554978
