Why does he have to be dead? I hate knowing such a beautiful person who created such heartfelt music hated himself and (likely) took his own life. I hate knowing such wonderful people die such horrible ways.

Figure 8 is my least favorite desu
They're all GOAT and I still go back to it a bunch but it sounds so overproduced and bloated on a lot of the tracks. I think XO is better just because the arrangements are still big and interesting without being homogeneous

Everything Reminds Me of Her is still one of his best though

Well he lived part of his life in LA and the cover for Figure 8 was shot against a wall in Silverlake, I believe. I visited four years ago and it's mostly covered up by graffiti now, which kinda sucks. But you can still see some of the red and black lines.

And yeah he definitely had a strong connection to Los Angeles and wrote songs about it, so it would make sense they love him there.
