This is beautiful. A real masterpiece.
I'm loving any second of it. "The Purest Dreamer" is a track I listen almost daily.
More like this?
>>68431669
I am liking it, That's not Sunbather meme material at all. It is simpler, well written and it has actual black metal in it. It's not an intelligent, nihilistic and with a wicked sense of humor post-rock/emocore.
>>68428862
Why /metal/ today is so based?
Too bad I didn't liked the last band he produced, that one with Aldrahn I can't remember their name. I love Aldrahn too, but the music was meh at best.
>>68434765
It was meh at best. Too bad they fell for the Dragonforce meme, I really liked the first one.

I think By The Ton is pretty good
>>68436968
Haven't heard it yet. Meshuggah is very hit or miss for me. I need to be in the right mood to enjoy the music. However, I've seen them at two different festivals during the last 5 or six years and they've been great both times.

I think you should. They didn't hit me in the face either; it was much more subtle: the whole release flows like a single suite rather than an album of separate songs, which I dig. And that eerie-sounding melody you hear on lightly overdriven guitar in the first track actually reappears in disguise later on. I'll have to listen to it again to tell you exactly where, but anyway that's pretty advanced composition for stoner rock. That's what really impressed me.

its gud, dont really care for the few Converge-y moments, but other than that its solid.
>>68441533
besides the constant suicide feelings? Oh enlighten me on what is sad music
THE MELTING HAND
CONTROLS ME
EVIDENTLY
HE WILL KILL ME
A STRANDED PARASITE
IN A WOUNDED GESTURE OF INCOMPETENCE
SWORN TO INTOXICATE THE MONSTER
A SPELLBINDER UNDERNEATH THE SKY
USELESS PRIMATE
STEERING AT ME
YEARNING
TO BE
FREE
THE UNPREDICTABLE SENSE
OF A SHORT ROAD

that's really poppy music.
or maybe link me a sad song by them cause all I hear is pretty damned upbeat.
though, I still think some of the most depressing/saddest stuff is by NIN and Tori Amos. But that could be because that's what I grew up on. Pretty sure both hold up still though

They're kind of all over the place, but overall their library is very meloncholic. It's also pretty tragic if you know more about the band and how much John was struggling before he died. I'll quit rambling because it's pretty off topic for /metal/ lol

Are there bands of subs other than power metal that feature singsong vocals? I love singsong vocals but the incessant Tolkien references put me off since that guy's work is unreadable.
