Those goats are probably dead now.

GOATS feeding goats

This is one of the most obnoxious albums of all time. Good riddance.
That store is probably closed now
>>68407887
damn.....
This monkey is probably dead now...
>>68407967
WOW! XD
>>68407985
Way to defend your shitty unlistenable meme album. You sure showed me.
>>68407976
I don't actually have anything against blacks, it was just too good an opportunity to ignore.
>>68408028
Nobody should. I can't think of a single pop song from the 60's, off the top of my head, that hasn't aged into unlistenability. I'm sure they exist. As a rule of thumb, though, I don't.
>>68407838
Only Carl and Dennis
>>68408149
>he can't listen to a song because it sounds old
I can't believe I share a board with these types
>>68408192
>he thinks music is timeless, although the world has changed and rendered it objectively obsolete, solely because of the bands influenced by it.
I assume that's why you actually like Pet Sounds. It's the iliad of music. Very influential, stylistically so obsolete as to warrant it cliched and unenjoyable.
>>68408192
it surprises you on a board where half of the threads in the catalog at any given time are about memes or waifus?
>>68408311
>ywn punch this nigger in the face
bad feel
>>68408311
Some music doesn't age.
Also saying its "the Iliad of music" is like the biggest compliment anyone could ever give it.
>>68408363
>getting angry someone calls you out for liking shitty music rather than explaining why you enjoy it and potentially converting this nigger.
Sounds about right.
>>68408414
hope your mom gets breast cancer
>>68408397
I don't deny it's influence at all. It was intentionally a backhanded compliment. I'm just asserting that it's really shitty in light of the current musical zeitgeist.
>>68407838
And Mike Love is still alive
Life's a fucking bitch

GOAT goats tbqh senpai

>>68408469
Would you rather pretentiously strawman than defend your taste? Nice try, that's moot.
>>68408543
>TIME... LINE

Oh dear.
Lurk here for a tad:

This ear is probably dead now
>>68407933
Check your ears, cunt.
>>68408034
it's a shit joke even if you're just pretending to be racist
>>68408656
>>68408634
Let me rephrase:
What about this music do you find enjoyable?
I listen to, loosely, what's referred to here as entry level hipster tier trash. Radiohead and Wolf Parade are two of my favorite bands Sue me.
>>68408739
I can't summarize this in 3000 characters.
>>68408766
>your bands are shitty
>Q'ED
Try harder, friendo.
>>68408820
Golly. You win by default despite repeatedly being asked and failing to support why you like Pet Sounds with any reasoning. I am the only person in this thread that has actually touched on anything remotely meritorious about these hacks, namely, their historic influence on other, less shitty bands. good game.
>>68408871
>repeatedly being asked and failing
it's because your approach sucks and you clearly lack the knowledge necessary, otherwise i'd bother debating properly.
>>68408957
>I can't
i know.
>>68408976
bad syntax
back to the drawing board with you
>>68408746
every track has at least 12 people playing the weirdest combination of instruments, theremin with harpsichord, clarinets with prepared pianos, French horn with accordion, etc. and it's all filtered into one weird tone color. this is what cements it in the genre because there is no pop music that really *sounds* like this save for phil spector's songs, but they were often very simple in structure and still only used pianos, guitars, strings, and latin percussion.
every track has a gimmick that gives each song an expansive feeling, like the contrasting sections in 'here today' and 'im waiting for the day', the use of rounds in 'god only knows' and 'i just wasnt made for these times', and the odd string breaks in 'i know there's an answer' and 'don't talk'
the album can't be reduced to a collection of psychedelic quirks (like Sgt. Pepper), because there are no attempts at distortion and very little reliance on tape effects and simple overdubbing tricks
>>68409003
Bad capitalization, sure. The syntax was perfect. Regardless, I was quoting the sage who wrote >>68408820
>>68408976
You should brush up on your knowledge before arguing with people.
>>68408651
you mean that dinosaur?
>>68409041
Valid points, I concede.
>>68409059
take note, pseud.
>>68409071
I think you mean elephant trunk.
>>68409187
>pseud
>lacking this much self-awareness
did you know that influence and inspiration has reason behind it
in the case of pet sounds you can literally find this (more like these) reasons on its fucking wikipedia page
Those towers have probably collapsed by now
>>68407838
theyll be fine ;_;
>>68409323
>looking at wikipedia to find supporting evidence for their meme album they arbitrarily like.
>something has to be good to be influential
Oh, you!
>>68409413
i never said anything about quality, you're missing the point entirely
some intuition wouldn't hurt you
>>68409452
You are confused. My initial point was that this album is shitty. Your argument that influence happens for a reason either implied they were good, or was redundant. Indeed, I attested to it's influence whilst maintaining it was shitty earlier.
>>68409540
Good job. You proved your point of an opinion on the internet
>>68410147
If you were paying any attention I conceded my point here: >>68409187
Unless you were talking about my second point, that you are a pseud?
