squarepusher?
Aphex Twin. Less consistent then Autechre but that's because he has a wider range of types melodies he fiddles with. Higher highs IMO (Xtal and Flim personally). His monikers are good, too. Also he's just one guy vs. two so gotta acknowledge that.

Lets be honest here, sp belongs in the bottom half of everyone's ranking of the big 4
they are completely different
rob and sean have gone down the rabbit hole of complexity possible with computer-produced music, and have an extraordinary amount of extremely creative, innovative output (and really have a lot more emotion in their music than they get credit for). they have a much more consistent and impressive body of music than aphex twin. Aphex Twin, for all his immense genius, has never explored the possibilities of sound design to anywhere near the extent that Autechre did with their confield-era releases, and was never capable of steadily producing material of legendary consistency and quality for over 20 years.
but rdj pretty much invented ambient techno (with an album with songs made when he was as young as 13), then made one of the most important albums in ambient music, then, influenced by jungle and breakcore, released a stretch of material with an utterly unmatched amount of personality and memorability. he is a mercurial prodigy, and Autechre, for all their talent and creativity, have never been able to create anything quite as clever, humorous, and meaningful as the come to daddy ep, and never wrote songs quite as brilliant as some of Richard's highlights.

So RDJ is better good post
future sound of london
RDJ seems to be more focused on composition while æ seem to be more geared toward designing tunes that would best fit a live show
Both are masters of their craft

Squarepusher hits that perfect balance between technical ability and making enjoyable music, in my opinion.
I think I prefer that ability above the resulting music, just because it's interesting to listen to. For the same reason I'd follow Squarepusher with Autechre, and then RDJ.
They're all good though for different reasons. Pretty pointless giving them a ranking.
