This, I went through this as soon as I became self-conscious in the fashion that adolescents do, then after hanging onto the skirts of /mu/, then scaruffi, then Apocalypse Alliance (oddly enough) I grew up and sort of developed my own taste. But there will always be image conscious people here and elsewhere so there will always be the putting down of "unfashionable" music.

My only real gripe is the fan base of dad rock. It's half old people who think the only good music is that of their younger years, and half "le wrong generation" fags who only listen to it and nothing else because they're parents told them it was good. Both groups mostly unable to form their own musical opinions.
