Now that its been a bit over 12 hours, what do you guys think?

link you god damn turbo fag

>>68369048
much less coherent than his previous work, most tracks sound like they were rejects from the BB1 era. really disappointed with it, 4/10
any vaporwave made after 2012 is crap, stop trying
>>68369595
>2016
>he still thinks blank banshee is vaporwave

hahahahahaha
no

wow, i sure love this Canzone d'autore EP
>>68369624
>2016
>he still attempts to justify listening to shit by labeling it as a different genre
>>68369665
wew lad
it wasn't worth sitting through 2 months of his shitty email fanfiction.
worst bb yet
>>68369761
right on yo
if he's gonna try and pull some wannabe AU shit he's gotta make it worth the wait and this definitely was not worth the wait. if he had released this without that bullshit in 2014 it would have been received much better (i'm loosely quoting a rym review here) but three years?? this does not sound like the product of three years of work, it sounds like he just threw it together in like a month
>>68369810
The production is pretty nuanced though
He probably went through some episodes before he got around to making this, I personally think it's great and don't really give a fuck about how he went about releasing it
>>68369810
That review was retarded. The dude weed lmao shit was irrelevant and the idea that music's quality is greatly impacted by a couple year's differential in release date is ridiculous and childish as fuck.
>>68369626
>"lol capitalism" the album

how can you guys seriously pretend this isn't better than bb1? cerulean is amazing. shame its so short
>>68371146
https://clyp.it/phbn0imu
Hows this? I messed around with it and added about a minute to the end of it and gave it a satisfying ending which it originally lacked. Personally i found a few of the songs lacking in transtions compared to the previous albums and i'm trying to fix that atleast on my own copy
started strong, fell off into generic memewave in the 2nd half
>>68371351
nice shit opinion anon. thanks for posting!

Yea anon sadly I dont think BB1 has been topped. MAGA is still a really good album though.
>>68371351
this. after sandclock, anything besides cerulean is just boring, generic vaporwave
>>68371508
bb1 is literally trash im sorrry. dont reply to me again

>not getting it

>my machine
one of the best tracks bb has done, even if this album isnt bb0 tier
he threw his good song writing out the window, there isn't one single song that sticks out to me. it's all over the place
>>68371888
i have to agree after the first full listen, it's a little sporadic, still very interesting
>>68371762
The way the vocals are manipulated reminds me of the way they maniuplate Ride's vocals in Death Grips at times.
Haven't really liked much since bb0.
First listen through and I'm pleasantly surprised
The first half is a fucking mess but the second half is alright. Overall the album is so schizophrenic that it's hard to fully wrap my head around. I'll have to give it another listen
Was the distorsion with the bass on the first tracks, like in My Machine, intentional? It seems like cracking or something not sure how to describe it but plenty of other tracks also have it.
I kinda like the short song lengths, in an ADHD sorta way
>>68369048
best songs were:
BIOS
MEGAFLORA
METEOR BLADE
EXOS
It's a brilliant album when you consider the fact that it parallels a well written narrative, albeit poor grammar.
http://www.blankbanshee.com/zero-day.html
You must read the story first before trying to understand the album and the reason the songs sound the way they do.
>>68372794
stfu bb1 was better as an overall album
>t. 'my favourite blank banshee song is teen pregnancy'
>>68371550
you're actually a huge faggot. why are you even on this board if you don't like bb1?
Still better than any mainstream nigger trap
>>68369595
it's not vaporwave, it's aesthetic-tinged trap
>>68369595
>implying that any vaporwave actually produced around that time had decent production quality and had albums with more than one popular song
Cerulean is the best track hes made to date.
i liked it
2016 AOTYSFTBH
I thought it was good but I dont get how its supposed to tie in or connect with the emails/AU. I didnt get the feeling they were related and felt like a waste of time.
>>68369048
Vaporwave is going to reach new heights in 2020 i stg
>>68373792
favorite blank banshee track is
Dreamcast
>>68373764
yeah just read it, all i got to say he's very creative
I fuckin love it
I dont know how to feel. It is more polished but also feels bland. I need to digest it some more.
>mfw My Machine
>>68374472
This. I couldn't give half a fuck about the narrative and it's not like you even need to
>>68369048
Disappointing. Vaporwave is dead. 2/10
>>68375365
My Machine is the most blatant Death Grips knock off and easily the worst track on the album
>>68375625
>the vocals are shouted
>therefore it rips off death grips
WEEEW LAD
>>68375625
You're retarded
>>68375625
>listens to my machine
>woah sounds like DG
Lmao get a load of this idiot
>>68375665
It sounds like BB listened to Hacker once then made My Machine
>>68375625
sure it's one of the worst tracks
not a rip off. think harder.

>>68375841
I've listened to it multiple times and I'm telling you to get your shitty ears checked
>>68375841
just stop while you're behind anon
>>68375866
Are you just not willing to admit BB isn't the musical saint you all make him out to be? You're fucking delusional if you don't hear the influence
>>68375946
I've never called him a saint. It doesn't take a fan of the artists to call out some idiot making baseless comparisons
Nothing on this album sounds like TMS, not to mention you're the only one going on with this "yo BB copied DG" shit
>>68375993
>I've never called him a saint.
Not literally dumbfuck. I've refering to the mass circle jerk revolving around this album
>Nothing on this album sounds like TMS
Except My Machine
>>68376079
>mass circle jerk
There's been five or six threads in the entire catalog max in the 24 hours since the album has come out
Just get off of /my/ for a couple hours kek this is nowhere near a "circle jerk"
>Except My Machine
>>68375673
BB needs to actually sample MC Ride in one of his songs
>>68376116
>There's been five or six threads in the entire catalog max in the 24 hours since the album has come out
Proving my point
>/my/
>>68376149
ok dude lol
easily his best yet
I literally clicked the tags, found a really cool aesthetic cover, and started listening.
Flamingosis is better than this crap and I didn't even wanted to listen to it.
>>68376297
kill you'reself
MEGA > BB1 > BB0
Progressively better.
I like it a lot, T B H
my second listen was a lot more pleasant, for some reason it's more coherent the second time around.
>>68371146
I like it but I like the others better soz lads
nice vectorman samples tho
The more I listen, the better it gets. Dunno about you guys
>>68371550
>>68371146
He hasn't made a song better than Dreamcast, Teen Pregnancy, or Purity Boys, so BB0 is still superior.
>>68377712
LSD Polyphony is his best track and I agree that BB0 is the best album.
>R+7 with trap beats
>>68376149
>Proving my point
You've clearly never seen a real album release circle jerk
>>68369626
Made me think
what was he thinking with My Machine
>>68378636
It's quite possible the best track on the album.
>>68378755
It sounds like a really shit Jamie XX song
>>68378636
>>68378762
kek
Compared to his other two albums, this one is subpar. Maybe another listen will change my mind. Though I doubt it will.
I love how most of you see My Machine as a great track, it's my personal favourite. Megaflora is also god tier
It's shitty, obviously. What did you expect?
>>68369048
After 12 hours it remains a smelly shit
Second half is better than the first. There's not much variation in this album, and it sounds a lot like an overproduced BB1. The mysterious lo-fi atmosphere that made his previous releases so wonderful is nowhere to be found on this album. Very disappointing.
>>68381718
This 100%. I'm trying very hard to find an "atmosphere" but it's just cluttered with random samples and sound effects
>>68376490
I feel this, I kinda felt the same way about 1 at first as well but now that's my favorite BB album.
>>68381951
never change /mu/
solid album, I liked it a lot
>>68375618
>Blank banshee is vaporwave
get out
I guarantee that he sampled onision's voice in My Machine
BB0 > MEGA > BB1
>>68383099
Where? The main vocals are original
>>68383260
For real?
Well guess my ears didn't hear it right
>>68383126
the other way tho
>>68369048
It's pretty great. Couldn't rank it yet. Would have to listen to it more.
>>68375841
I've been into Death Grips far longer than you have and it most definitely is not, and the fact that you use TMS as an example proves that.
I was into BB1+2 for a while but I got bored with the generic trap sound. This is truly an innovated sound, it's very good, and I don't listen to a lot of current music.
>>68373764
That was the most rushed and least thought provoking story I have ever read
>>68383664
Is this a competition on who listens to the most Death Grips now?
Blank Banshee 0 was first one, and it was the best one. I liked the variety and the melody of most of the songs. BB1 to mea atleast sounded like a bunch of different sound clips and samples just thrown over each other, and had the generic trap beat. Mega is in the middle. It has good and catchy melodies. The layers of different sounds are in perfect harmony.
BB0 > MEGA > BB1
>>68383818
You got your descriptions of BB1 and MEGA switched around
>>68383870
Nah senpai
GUYS WHY DIDN'T HE CALL IT
02
?!?!?
>>68384059
He wanted to show his love for Trump and call it MAGA
>>68384059
why the fuck would he call it 02
that's retarded get off of /mu/
>>68384100
>he doesn't know how to count
>>68384059
He wanted it to fit with his shittily written backstory
>>68384121
he named the first album 0
guess i am not the only one that doen't know how to count
>>68384192
Yeah but 1 comes after 0 and 2 comes after 1 so it literally, LITERALLY makes no sense to change it up unless you're just grasping for attention and trying to be edgy
>>68384182
This has a backstory?
>>68384319
http://www.blankbanshee.com/zero-day.html
Since you asked but it's not worth your time
>>68384090
this
BB1 > BB0 > MEGA
it's not bad but BB1 is one of my favorite albums of all time and I can't help but be disappointed by this as a followup
Why are all the songs so short?
>>68385082
all the songs in all 3 albums are short wdy mean
i can't be the only one who thought this was literal garbage right
wont be able to listen to this for a while, are there any songs like Bathsalts on it? Love that one
>>68385082
they're easily loopable. i looped cerulean and frozen flame and made them longer
getting serious Shpongle vibes from My Machine
>>68384247
unless he's doing binary and didn't want to have people think he skipped 8 albums.
I dunno why people try saying it's not vaporwave, this shit is good because it's about the only vaporwave that is nice and well made - comparing to shit outside of that scene makes it look worse.
>>68369048
vaporwave died like 5 years ago wtf. why is every normie on facebook posting about this?
>>68386232
blank banshee is not vaporwave
>>68369048
it's pretty decent, still his previous album was more accessible
this is still good enough to chill at
>>68386361
yea he was pseudo vaporwave for faggots who didnt know what vaporwave was then the meaning became so dilluted that any internet referencing electronic music with a pink, purple, cyan color scheme album cover became lumped into it. vaporwave has become so meaningless now that just about anything can be thrown under that term
>>68383763
No, it's just dumb to call things rip offs when you clearly haven't listened enough of what you're comparing it to.
>>68374068
Absolutely
