Metallica are arguably the biggest metal band in the world, so why is their live setup so shit? They can certainly afford better. It's this super muddy, sludgy (and not in a good way) tone to the guitars that makes everything sound worse than it should. And the Drop D tuning certainly doesn't help.

The band looked like they were having a blast. Too bad the crowd wasn't into it. It is def. weird that they'd choose to play all slow numbers instead of Battery or the other stuff that's more desirable for a live performance.
