I just finished my Post-Rock phase and im looking to go into something new.

Rules:

Asking/Looking - Post the recent music you've been listening to and the music you like.
If you post looking for music then actually listen to the fucking music.

Suggesting - Dont be a dick about the music people like.

Hi. I'm a big fan of post-rock. The obvious progression from that is to listen to noise rock, krautrock, and post-punk

I fucking love it man. Gospeed! was fantastic i still need to listen to Riot but besides that i heard all their albums. Spiderland was not my thing and Soundtrack for the blind was pretty good same with Mogwai and Cul De Sac. But Godspeed! was definitely my favorite i like the way they used the strings all around but especially in Storm at the end of the song with the piano over the broken radio chatter. Why do you have any more suggestions for Post-Rock?
>>
>>68334052
Fucking hell have you not heard Talk Talk

The way I see it, there are two obvious routes to take after post rock, one of them is the noise rock/shoegaze route, the other is ambient.

Here's some ambient I've been into lately:

Ugasanie - Cold Wasteland (from Call of The North)
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eSqaFZ4nm6Q

Sleep Research Facility - B-Deck (from Nostromo)
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gPMB338fzUg

Igneous Flame - Halo
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=StSUii6xeq0

Vladislav Delay - Pietola

The only thing that comes close to godspeed are godspeed side projects.
Check out :
The silver mt zion orchestra ( closest to GYBE)
Set fires to flame ( sounds like a less upfront F#a#)
Esmerine (Imagine dont bend without the guitars and with added marimbas and shit.pretty different from gybe but fuking god tier )

Have you heard flatsound?
Pic related but not their best album.
>>
>>68334271
I listen to music while studying, surfing the internet, working out, running, on the commute to class. I tend to listen to an album over and over until I feel the need to listen to something else, and even then sometimes I force myself to listen to a particular album until I get it.
>>
>>68334306
So thats why i should go to college.

Makes sense now.
>>
>>68334319
If you've got free time you can just put on an album, man. Start writing to it, drawing, cook dinner, browse /mu/, etc.
>>
>>68334346
yeah thats what ive been doing but i typically am always running around so its hard to do it in one sitting i was just wondering if anyone had more efficient ways. But i suppose thats not really the point.
>>
>>68334285
He's one of those where I can appreciate what hes trying to do, but unfortunately one element just keeps me from getting into it, in this case it would be the vocals
>>
>>68334399
Idk i like the voice but it kinda reminds me of a 17 year old asian-american kid living in like Massachusetts.
