That's more or less the third best QOTSA album. I guess they thought it was worth being a separate project but it fits in well after Era Vulgaris.

Either way, it's an amazing album and you have shit taste. What did you expect the album to sound like? This is exactly what I would have hoped for in a collab between those three.

This album was pretty disappointing, I was excited to hear DFA was making a new album but my expectations dropped drastically after hearing Trainwreck 1979. Cheap Talk's a bangin track, though, and the first 15 seconds of Always On are great before the song shits all over itself.

Agreeing with this guy, Painted Shut was a major letdown compared to just how fucking stellar Get Disowned was. It was really fantastic and unique experience.

I was still in college when that came out. I had switched colleges halfway so I never had the chance to really bond with my fellow students properly, but there was one guy I got along with really well because of music... Then this came out and for no real reason we just didn't really talk much after that.
So I dunno, I have a weird unspoken issue with that album.
