This is completely different than Aphex Twin. There isn't really a comparison and I don't know why you're trying to compare them. This is dance music(and I don't think Zedd is that bad, but he's kind of just stuck to the same sound since he started), whereas Aphex Twin is "listening" music. And I don't mean to say listening music is superior intellectually, I mean it's like trying to compare the Foo Fighters to Hella.

Even then, I don't think Aphex is as great as he's made out to be. But I find Zedd boring, the chord progressions are pretty typical pop music and the production, while crisp and impressive feels artificial. He's like the musical equivalent of Jurassic Wold or the new Star Wars.

No, I think that because it was boring in the first place. That song isn't exciting, the Foo Fighters helped invent the hard rock/alt-rock sound that extremely popular, doesn't mean their music isn't boring.
