Does anyone else think that this album sounds really overworked or something?
And the whole A E S T H E T I C of it is slightly cringe too.
To be honest I've always found Bon Iver pretty cringey. It's just like pure tumblr. Like someone who literally looks at the world as a series of tumblr posts
Nothing makes me cringe more than people who use cringe as an adjective

>overworked
I think that's the point of it
people who type A E S T H E T I C make me "cringe" as well

you're right. why even have a public forum dedicated to anything as subjective as musical appreciation?
this albums really frustrating with anyone familiar with any sincere electronic or folk background. It's got the depth of a Coldplay album on aderral.
Bon iver can make some pretty noises, but they never feel meaningful beyond their aesthetic value. Vernons writing is at his weakest (and that's saying something, given the four year hiatus)
i anticipated and desired a Bon iver electronic folk album. it's all the rage, or it should've been. Age of Adz left an undeniable impression on the contemporary folk scene, john misty flirted with the idea, im just wondering where the follow up acts come in.
