Electronic music has been going since the 1910s, but it started spreading during the late 40s with Pierre Schaeffer's school of Musique Concrete.

That would be the 60's. Not my favorite, but they had things like White Light/White Heat, We're Only In It For the Money, Music From Big Pink, Astral Weeks, Trout Mask Replica, In a Silent Way, etc.
>>
>>68305308
It was. Breakbeat hardcore, happy hardcore, eurodance, house, trance. 90s certainly had the best music, and it happens to be underrated too.
>>
>>68305936
This. Most of what i've listened to for the past few years is 90s electronic because there's so much and it's so good.

Riley Puckett, Eck Robertson, Henry Whitter, Uncle Dave Macon, The Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Dock Boggs, Floyd Ming, Gid Tanner.
>>68305892
I think electronic music got too poppy starting by the 70s with academical exceptions.
>>68305812
That movement is known for causing many riots. At the time, people tought the way you do too, and many still do.
>>68305748
Yes. But I thought my pictures weren't ugly.

>>
>>68306009
look at the number of releases with each year
not all releases past 1970s excluding academical projects are "too poppy" with a wealth of ambient and experimental type music being released
>>

You're pathetic as fuck if you think anyone gives a shit of your "taste" and superiority complex. Get out of /mu/ and take your shitty 2hu drawings and 2/10 girls>>68306239

1910=music started
>>
>all these plebs who can't accept the fact that the 80s was the most patrician decade
>>
>>68310739
By far. It was the decade when pop music and its influence on songwriting melded with originality which unfortunately led to the push for commercialization of the music industry making the 90s a push for musicians to appeal to a certain demographic or target "consumer" and basically turned the artistic expression seen in pop music of the 80s into a push for universally appealing radio play. All the artists who were good in the 80s and made it through to the 90s had became watered down creatively in favor of broader appeal or they just split altogether because of the state of the music industry.

Plus the punk/new wave/post-punk era was easily the most transformative time for rock music. Easily the most influential on the alternative music of today.
