Nice, always good to have some new funk for the weekend. Only other modern brass stuff I really found was Youngblood Brass band but it had too much rapping to be enjoyable.

yeah I remember listening to this album back then when it was more regularly posted it's pretty good
brass bands are somewhat making a comeback these days. I remember that during my short stay in Tarace Boulba in 2003/4 we were about the only ones to do it in my country
speaking of brass, this band apparently does some demented live shows, but I have'nt been able to check it out by myself yet. their new album, however, is available and it stomps pretty hard

Like /classical/ for 1000s of years, /trad/ for 10,000s and /bleep/ for all dance music, a thread for actual genres within the huge umbrellas on their own alone would get nowhere because p4k/fantano/mucore chart hasn't spoonfed them daily.

bleep isn't really for all dance music, they only discuss a narrow range of stuff in there (RA-core), but you're still right, you can't really do it properly

that doesn't prevent people from being interested in it, I don't think I'm the only one european on /mu/ to be into funk music (besides, most of the funk scene I am aware of nowadays is european, mainly french and german)
