Yes, I'm very excited!
I have a lot of emo albums, a lot of rap/hip hop albums, post hardcore and some relaxing music but I'm starting to shy away from rap/hip hop.

I do want the hundredth album to be one that I've been wanting for a long time, but I don't have those yet because they're expensive. So maybe I'll just save up my budget for vinyl and buy a cool one.

Just do what makes you happy, I skip meals to buy tapes and records.

Getting into tapes is a byproduct of getting into diy music genres like lo-fi pop, noise, and even vaporwave. Tapes are easier because they're much cheaper, and in some cases more fun due to rarity.

If you have a record store nearby that's any good it can be a great place to actually carve out your own unique taste and soon you'll be able to tell if you'll like an album just by looking at it.

That's great anon, when you have money to spend on records, you should go there and try to buy something you haven't listened to but maybe have heard of. Depending on the store owner, if it's used and you don't like it you can likely exchange it, but soon you'll start to notice which labels, names, and album covers denote something which fits into your tastes and soon you'll be able to go into a record store and pick out stuff you like without reading reviews or really much about the album. It's incredibly rewarding to take home an album you've never heard of and have it be fantastic.

For sure anon, I buy a new album I've never heard before probably every 3rd or 4th purchase. I picked out Animals because of the cover and it turned out to be one of my favorite albums. I definitely pick up on what you're saying.

That album used to be my favourite like maybe two or three years ago. I still really like the track Baboon. 13.0.0.0.0 was great except for tracks like Pygmy Polygamy.
But honestly, I'm over this kinda stuff, midwest emo and shit.
