TPAB easily surpasses MBDTF. Kendrick knows how to actually explore a topic in a song, unlike Kanye. Kanye's lyrics don't really extend beyond his catchy bars that may have a meaningful lyric here and there. It's certainly entertaining, but Kendrick's lyricism is unmatched these days.

I personally think konnichiwa is pretty good, but to everyone that is against his opinion: please just give you're opinion and dont just fk him over

The music is awesome, very nice compositions, i guess that's good enough, surely it can get cheesy at times, reminds me of Prince a lot also

The other pop hop album I can think of on this style is Speakerboxx/The Love Below which is even better though (for me that's the Kind of Blue of hip hop)

good but not the same style at all, it's a mix of pop-rap with more classic hardcore rap like The Infamous so this comparison won't go anywhere imo both good albums in their own terms

This album would be better if Kanye wasn't such a mediocre rapper. And no, the production does not redeem it.

I'd agree that Kendrick is a better lyricist and a rapper overall, but the way Kanye employs all these people to help him carry out his vision is something else and makes him a better composer and musician in general imo. The actual samples and structures of songs in general actually convey more emotion and thought than any, however rapidly spit out, verse, even despite fancy vocabulary (see: Runaway and it's last section)
