This was my initial reaction because he pulled a stunt like this earlier after his album didn't go so well. I don't know really. Perhaps he does have depression and suicidal urges but at the same time is a narcissist, which may only add a further tragic dimension to all of this. I myself am a narcissist so I know that vanity can really put yourself in a weird place of self-doubt and melodrama; wanting to get to your real emotions but your narcissistic aspect putting that in jeopardy, which makes everything all the more messy, and wanting likewise to rise above it.
