>Fans hate Mellon Collie
>Non fans hate Mellon Collie
>"Teenager core"
>Why is not everybody on the same page with me that Mellon Collie is like, the best SP album wtf happened
>Why is everyone so pretentious
Gotta disagree with you on that
Listened to MCIS for the first time in a few years and aside from like six tracks most of the record is filler or angst dated 90s shit
I can't like Bullet With Butterfly Wings or Zero the same as I did as an edgy teen
>>68246082
It's too long
>>68245654
>>68246045
>>68246063
We should make an "essential good teenage-core chart"
Beatles?
incubus
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Offspring
Dookie
>>68246082
It's because Siamese Dream is better.
>>68245654
this album was my actual life when I was 15
>>68246184
definitely The Who.
>>68246082
MC is their best album, idgaf what anyone says. 28 songs long and virtually has no filler. Every single song adds to the album, it flows wonderfully, its their most varied release and the only album where they worked as an actual band. SD is up there too, but MC has that unique sound and personality that no album replicated since.
probably gonna get shit for this but
>>68247919
If you havent already, listen to the album with the OG vinyl track listing, it flows better.
>>68248277
Basically all Title Fight albums.
Touche Amore too
>>68248314
I'm with u ma man
Mudvayne - LD 50
I haven't listened to it and I won't because I'm not sure that it holds up. But it was one of the best nu-metal records of the era.
Still holds up, great album all around.
>>68247195
absolutely, also the fragile.
>>68249475
grunge perfected, imo.
>>68248369
Nah, more like tweenage core
If AiC's discography even counts as teenager-core then they're here for sure
Honestly I don't even think they're that, I just think they're a great band.
>>68246126
Even if they're associated with some of the best memories ever...
>>68246220
Oh God yes
Morning View!?!?!?
I think so
>>68248369
Literally found that cd in an old case the other day... brought me back to 11 years old scraping my elbows and being out at 10pm with all my buds eating ice cream on bikes thinking we were bad motherfuckers
>>68249547
Yes..
>>68249864
Alice in Chains is one of those bands that you thought were great as a kid and only got more meaningful as you got older
What the he'll have I?
311 anyone?
HOW THE FUCK HAS NO ONE POSTED THIS YET?
>>68247183
The Who fucking suck and copied Jimi Hendrix.
>>68250256
one of the best albums to come out in the 2000s
Better than TDS
>>68250276
kys
IMO
>>68250256
Also Three Cheers
>>68248277
>>68248884
Floral Green is just good listenable shit harkening back to 90s alternative like Afghan Whigs. The edge on some of the early Touche albums hurts, but the less self-involved tracks can come off as sincere and genuinely insightful. Is Survived By and the new album show a lot more complexity and maturity, IMHO.
The best
>>68249055
I only listened to metal, Bright Eyes, Modest Mouse, and the National in HS. Realizing that I really liked this band/genre as a 23 yr. old was really weird, especially given that I was in HS at their popularity. I had no idea they existed or just assumed it was more guyliner bullshit.
It's a weird feel to have been that oblivious to something that good. Daisy is better btw desu.
>>68245654
Break The Cycle by Staind still holds up nicely for me
>>68249976
Haha yeah
>>68250488
"No" still holds up though lol
>>68249864
>>68249976
This brothers. There is no better feeling than returning to a band you loved as a kid for all the wrong reasons and realizing something deeper about the album making you love it even more.
DESU, I think its why "angsty" shit gets such a bad rap on here, where everybody is just getting out of that phase of life. Go back and revisit some of that stuff when you're 25. Yeah, a lot of it will be tryhard shit, but some of it will just be a guy laying out the hard truths about life that never go away how old you get. Family dies. Friends leave. Plans change. I'd just think about that shit put to music rather than deal with the cold, hard reality of it alone.
>>68251885
yeah, i will always love them.
>>68250256
Because it's shit?
>>68249227
LD 50?
Holds up.
Everything else?
NO.
>>68252392
nice bait anon
>>68247115
We Have the Facts is better.
>>68249976
I'm more fond of Transistor.
>>68246220
Agreed.
Adore by smashing pumpkins is best album
>>68252932
great album, very very angsty tho.
>>68252911
Indeed
