i liked it, that ambient post-rocky saccharine atmosphere with chuggy riffs, but then something happened and i can't get into any of newer djent, including perifery past s/t

guilty pleasures obviously don't exist unless you allow them to, but for the sake of the thread I'll post some albums and artists I love that generally receive hate.

-Avenged Sevenfold is one of my favorite bands
-Dookie's a 5-star album
-I think Slipknot's for the most part a good band, especially Iowa. Vermilion is the greatest nu metal track of all time.
-Black Parade would be a 10/10 without Teenagers
-Protest The Hero are pretty cool, they get hated on right?
-Father John Misty is an excellent musician.
-Appetite For Destruction's a good album and wouldn't be so hated if it wasn't so popular
-I love Rick Ross's music

imo Teenagers is a good sing along tune but the lyrics are a bit 2edgy4 me. Take that song out and that album is an easy 10

I like Florence & The Machine, Cosmic Love is definitely in top 10 of my favorite songs of all time

I unironically love Yazoo, Dead Or Alive, Men Without Hats, Depeche Mode, A-ha, OMD and other cheesy 80's synthpop bands

Yep. Waking The Fallen is my favorite album of theirs and my second favorite of all time. There's not one even just good song in the whole thing, they're all great. Eternal Rest is breathtaking, Remenissions is regret in its purest and most angry form, and I Won't See You Tonight is just heartbreaking. It's truly a tragedy the album gets so overlooked because of the band's image and fanbase.

I love City Of Evil and Sounding The Seventh Trumpet too, and I like Nightmare a good bit, but HTTK is trash. I was really disappointed with it. S/t has highs and lows. Unbound's a good one

That's what I'm sayin'. I love concept albums too so it just pissed me the fuck off, like I know they only threw it on there because it'd be popular and have radio play. Totally threw off the momentum. The first time I heard it I thought the album had ended and it was a bonus track, and was simply shocked when I checked the back of the CD
