>Slint will never reunite and make a kickass comeback album

I'm ok with this honestly.

Is it really hard to make Spiderand 2?
Okay, I know OP's mainly talking about them making another album but the autist in me needs to point they've been back together since 2013.

it wouldn't be /hard/ really
just wouldn't be anything innovative. most come back albums suck dick, since artists just try to piggyback off the success of their breakout album. The new American Football is perfect example.
Spiderland is wonderful because of its solidarity and how it stands apart from so many musical acts of that time. If Slint reunited and made another album, I'd bet all my money that /mu/ would shit on it, assuming it was anything like Spiderland.

My Bloody Valentine's comeback album was pretty good though

I saw them, like, 2 years ago. It was fine.
Just because someone made something once doesn't necessarily mean they can do it again.
You make something because you have an [idea] and you need to communicate it and so you do so. Some ideas can only be conveyed properly through a medium such as music, or photography or video or prose, et.c.
Just because Slint collectively had an idea and got it across that one time doesn't mean they could (or haven any reason to) make another album. If you actually appreciate it and aren't just chugging popular opinions from 4chan, then you already know all of this though.

lmao, no!

Lmao yes.
It's because of fucks like you that these artists keep coming back to release middling comeback albums
