Not the guy you replied to, but I've read Judith Butler. It was ok, pretty good even, but I fail to see how anything she attributes to patriarchy can't also be linked to class. Patriarchal systems of oppression like marriage can also be understood by the economic advantage individuals gain by participating in those systems. I'm not going to argue Patriarchy doesn't exist or anything like that, feminism has certainly identified a causal phenomenon, but my issue with feminist methodology is that it fails to take it to it's logical end. I suspect this is either due to a willing avoidance of economics or a poor understanding of it, but there is certainly an aversion to it, possibly by the fear that feminism would become a perspective rather than its own methodology. From here I claim that many modern feminist are indeed anti-intellectual. I have friends IRL, who people here might call "SJWs", but I have had intellectual conversations with them. I don't think this is the case for even a majority of those that label themselves "feminist", but feel free to prove me wrong.
