What is some more music similar to this song? I heard it recently, and now I'm hooked. What are your favourite uplifting 80s synthpop songs, when you're feeling in a good mood?

New Order 80s albums
Power Corruption & Lies and Low-Life pretty much fit in the synthpop scene, besides the singles compilation
Tears for fears - Songs from the Big Chair
and other stuff they put out.

Most people have heard the Gary jules ver.

nowhere girl is more melancholic, but it's still great and a classic
vince clarke was producer and keyboard player for depeche mode at the time of recording speak & spell (and just can't get enough), but he left after and eventually formed yazoo with alison moyet. if you're looking for "uplifting" stuff like early DM, they would be a perfect fit for you
for pure singles power i would suggest:
>enola gay by OMD
>goodbye horses by q lazzarus
>fade to grey by visage
>take me i'm yours by squeeze
>pull up to the bumper by grace jones
>opportunities by pet shop boys
>open your heart by human league
>anything by early tears for fears
>pretty much any new order singles comp
there you go

this needs martin dupont and snowy red, at least
>>68151435
Martin Dupont is more Coldwave imo
but i might include if i make a larger one
>>68151489
it's like a more stripped-down version of typical coldwave fare, which i guess would qualify desu
i would consider starting a thread on it bc we get zero minimal wave/synth talk on here

I already did a couple but no one gives a fuck about it here
but what the hell, i'm gonna start another one

First, Mad World isn't on Songs From the Big Chair.
Second, Tears for Fears' version is awful compared to Gary Jules' version.
