Does anyone have any music completely devoid of emotion like this?

Try this one

Felt the same thing at first.
You sort of inject your own emotions into it.
The album still sounds like a feverish dream to me though. Best to listen to it with a headache in a dark room.
Does any pre 1960 music actually matter?
Codeine-Frigid Stars
Chris songs very monotone like

idk if you're baiting, but this is a valid criticism. it feels like it lacks any soul or emotion at first but,

refer to this post
it will eventually click. great album
The reason spiderland is good is the emotion inside it. If you just want post-hardcore math-rock you're in luck, hundreds of imitation albums exist without any of the emotional depth.
That's not the reason that album is good though.
Try:
Cerberus Shoal
Codeine
Don Caballero
Ben Hur
Shellac
Drive like Jehu
A Minor Forest
rodan
Those all have the surface-level musical nuances of spiderland

>devoid of emotions
maybe a little monotone but holy FUCK there's a lot of emotion in a lot of the tracks, especially the closer

Brian Eno
Don't fall for the slowcore meme with this one. Slowcore is about misery and loneliness. Duster is disengaged-core. There is a sense of being detached from the world. It makes sense because they were doing copious amounts of weed and opiates.

shitty album tho. no emotion no sex no danger thats what happens when you let middle class whiteboys with trustfund money take over rock and roll absolute rubbish haha.

Is anxiety an emotion? I feel like thats the main theme of this album

Terrible bait.

Thought about this a while and I kinda agree with you. Is there any other "disengaged-core" you can rec me? The main thing that comes to mind for me is some of Grouper's stuff
>>61968513
I just got finished listening to that for the first time. I don't get it. It's no more weird than the music I already listen to.

he looks like he's about to eat that car
>>61968513
honestly the lack of emotion is what makes this album
it adds to the creepy, sterile atmosphere. in fact im 90% sure that's what they were going for with spiderland: empty, dark, and emotionless

start listening to drone and noise
