moonspell's wolfheart is what got me into harsh vocals and extreme metal in general so I'm biased as fuck towards them. My favorite out of that list ignoring moonspell would be draconian and tiamat. The rest are decent, don't much care for ToN despite them being memed here all the time. I liked katatonia better before they became depprock, they are the epitome of okay-tier now and their albums all sound the same. paradise lost early stuff is good, their latest is just boring. I haven't listened enough to anathema and my dying bride to have an opinion on them.

Yo maybe you metalheads can help me. A month or two ago someone posted something about an avant/progressive death metal type of band that had a name that I think began with M, may have been a two word alliteration and may have been fantasy-related/Arthurian legend related. Like Morgana or Minerva or something. They were REALLY FUCKING WEIRD. and as far as I could ever find there were only live performance videos, no real recordings. They were a three piece in most of their videos, a four piece in one or two. Their guitarist would occasionally use cllassical-style fingerpicking techniques. Their songs had a lot of stop-start type shit and crazy tempo shifts. the bassist and guitarist split the vocals pretty evenly. I know it's a longshot but they were out of control badass and I'd love to find them again.

And I don't think anyone enjoys this kind of middle ground of growling/screaming and singing
You can smell the slipknot influence, like why are they emulating nu metal in [the_current_year - 1]
The breakdown actually would've been okay if they didn't feel the need to sing over it
I even looked into other songs to give them a chance and all these problems are still there
Maybe I'm just looking too far into this cause it's clearly just party metal for edgy kids who like raves but don't like EDM but goddamn the comments are frightening
Like why can't people realize how much it says about the music if the fans say "No it doesn't suck it's good" more than they actually say how much they enjoy it, like why are they so defensive
