Post albums that you hated at first but now love.
C'mon /mu/, sink your critical claws into me.

Now I think its their best.

Hot onion. It's not even their best no wave era album and Gira himself said that they were all hacking their way through songwriting and recording at the time. Get gud.
>>61796766
nah, its better than cop.
>>61796766
Swans have been hacking their way through their whole careers. What's your point?
Best drums in metal imho.
>>61797017
that is babbys first funeral doom. Listen to this.
Death Grips entire discography.
So far nobody has posted a single good album
This was the first Autechre album I didn't enjoy on first album, I think it's great now.

Thanks, just finished my first listen.
It was very good and quite palatable though. So I don't think it will fall into hate -> love.
Hold on... I still hate this horse shit
I wish this album were instrumental and there was better mixing/mastering but there's good moments here.
I can't say I hated it on first listen but I was wondering where all the hype was coming from, after a few more I saw where the love for it came from though. It might become a favorite in time.
i wouldn't say I hated it at first but it's the most significant grower I've had
>>61797113
I thought it was their best album the first time I listened to it.

If you don't like an album the first time you hear it just means you are forcing a meme on yourself
The money store

kill yourself

I changed my opinion on Loveless, but i listened to it first time 6 years ago and i still think it's an overrated and it ruined shoegaze as a creative genre. Not that it was creative before but still
>>61796673
what did you hate about this?
>>61797113
I actually loved it the first time I heard it, but personally I enjoy Contra more.
i fucking hated SILY a few years back, but i've come to appreciate it as party music.
Only because I thought it was going to be something completely different.
I expect a synth-heavy dark-ambient/hard rock album about the actual far side of the moon.
This self-titled album. It has created a lot of metal expectations (Mikael Akerfeldt + Steven Wilson + Roadrunner Records) before it's release, and I was a bit disapointed when I first heard it. But later when I gave it a try without any prejudgements I conclude that it's a pretty good album in the folk/ambient genre.

I was shocked that people said it was better than monolith, then it grew on me
>>61797069
Pretty much this, it took me like 10 separate tries to get into it. Definitely worth it once it clicked though.
>>61798530
this so much
except i full on love it now
>>61800768
Opposite direction for me. I loved it at first, then listened more closely to the lyrics and realised that it was even more of a caricature of folk-punk than pic related.
>>61800768
Might have to give this another try then
>>61802190
this should be a music video for them
>>61802190
I'm glad they moved more towards folk alt rock
Sean can be a good lyricist
Its now my favorite album
>>61803599
he's a horrible lyricist, in his later releases it's the music that saves him, and about every review I have read agrees with me
I don't know if I love it but I definitely really enjoy it.
Listening to Kid A for the second time right now. Hoping for it to grow on me like OK Computer did
