Skeletonwitch is unironically one of my favorite modern thrash metal bands but as somebody who knows thrash subgenres, the new Skeletonwitch is largely death thrash with minor chunks of black thrash-lite thrown in randomly. It's still a great album but it's hardly black thrash. Skeletonwitch has also borrowed heavily from melodeath progressions.
