Muh arpeggios and muh reverb
Pic related is far superior

Radiohead has become super under-rated here. Like hip-hop in '09 /mu/
>>
As hyped and talked about as they are, they're still an amazing group of artists that have consistently made groundbreaking contributions to [pop] music.

People get caught up on, say, the electronics not being as adventurous as autechre or aphex twin, but I'd honestly contend that if they actually wanted to, they could've made music like that. But that would be missing the point. The point of radiohead's music often lies in restraint, especially when it comes to experimentation. And proper restraint, as genius as it is, is something rarely recognized.

>guitar music
>still relevant in our time
lmao

Somebody asked me once if I could only listen to one album for the rest of my life, what album would it be. Without hesitation I said In Rainbows.

>Not Kid A
But seriously along with OK Computer there the only albums by them that can be considered great unlike what some people will tell you.

I hate shit like this. Actually contribute to the album's discussion instead of putting the onus on everybody else to shit on it.

And yeah, Radiohead are really quite awful. In the same way as Rammstein appropriate superficial, largely extramusical industrial elements to mask their buttrock, Radiohead appropriate superficial, largely extramusical elements to mask their butt-pop. They're also an example of a group that tries to force commercial ideas on the nebulous music underground rather than trying to bring experimental ideas into the mainstream.
>>
Actually drunk listening to this right now. Radiohead has always been a pop band at their core and this is the best expression of that side of them
>>
Tasteful blend of their old alt rock style and their more experimental electronic style. I adore this album, So what if it's pop at its core?

Amnesiac is better than In Rainbows and just as good as Kid A.

Debate me, "kid".

>Morning Bell/Amnesiac
>Hunting Bears
Both worse than their respective counterparts on Kid A (Morning Bell & Treefingers)
Amnesiac is forgettable overall but Packt, Knives Out and Like Spinning Plates are all pretty nice tracks
