>>61699152

>>61698218

>>61699180

>>61699376
you're the one who used to term "technically" man. sorry just felt the need to point it out. obviously arguing about this goes against the spirit of the music so fuck it
>>61699422
no drop some links
>>61699442
Fine it's two tone ska but it would be stupid to argue they weren't the roots for ska punk
It's like calling venom the first black metal band
>>61699523

It's so wild I love it
>>61698840
Sick list, props on Off Minor, Nails and Dangers
Hey guys shall we discuss ska here? Shall we merge and become spunk? I've always lumped ska in with punk anyways. Also emo discussion is ok here too. I assume there are other places to talk about math on this board.
>>61699581
>ska punk has roots in ska
no fuckin way
>>61699786
Yeah. It's great stuff. Love the horns, manic vocals, and wild guitars. Too bad the band didn't last very long. The lead singer went on to form Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds which isn't very punk but it's great stuff.
>>61699754
lots of people here don't realize that there was actually really good ska before ska punk happened
>>61699877
fine with me

ITT: punk is actually dead
The 2 Tone genre, which began in the late 1970s in the Coventry, England area, was a fusion of Jamaican ska rhythms and melodies with punk rock's more aggressive guitar chords and lyrics.[2
