>State your opinon about Disco Volante or your mother dies tonight
>>60166024
havent listened to it
it's good
Best Mr. Bungle
it's great
Fantastic. The Bends = best track.
A few good songs but I prefer the s/t and California.
I prefer California, but Disco Volante is fantastic.
edgy but good
>>60166024
About what?
my mom is already dead
One of my favorite albums desu
>>60166024
Haven't heard it.
altogether really good. creative and atmospheric.
cons: the bends fucks up the pacing of the album with its constant starting and stopping, album is kinda unfocused so california is better
'hard and mighty' is definitely my favourite track from this album
>>60166055
same desu. i like California though
>>60166024
It was my favorite bungle...haven't listened to it in a while.
Hoping for new bungle album soon. Not counting on it.
Disco Volante is a fucking masterpiece and there are only so many albums that will get you through such an eerie experiencie
Pop Tatari would be one
>>60167433
The Drift
meh
heard better from them like in California
baka senpai
I was going to ignore this thread but as I clicked away my dad who I haven't heard from in two years called me...
my mom's ok, but that was 2spooky
I haven't heard it
I love you mommy
>>60167454
by who?
>>60167610
Scott Walker
Second best thing Patton has touched.
Director's cut being the best.
>>60166024
Need to listen this album. Also I am so paranoid.
glad to see the opinions are mostly positive itt
>>60166024
it's good
i like secret chiefs 3 more than mr. bungle and this album is closest to that so that's p cool
>>60166024
This one and California are top tier. The clown one is utter shit. Favorite track got to be Platypus.
literally who
>>60167454
Scott Walker is a tone deaf lunatic. I'm still amazed how many morons still think he's the shit.
>>60166024
it's ok, have it on my library but don't listen to it often at all
>>60166024
never heard of it
>>60166024
Great
>>60166024
one of the best albums ever
Never heard it. Not going to lie, Bouta download
I didn't know this album was released on my birthday either
>>60166024
Haven't listened to it, yet
Don't know a thing about them
love the cover
listened to the first few seconds
didn't get it
>>60169307
Each song is different listen to techno Allah and then Meeshka Ma Skwoz
Pretty sad seeing all these people who haven't heard this masterpiece (or Mr. Bungle in general).
>>60168284
I like the atmosphere he has in his music. Bish Bosch was stupid but his other two are top-tier
>>60169307
that's one of the best album openers you jerk
>>60166115
Same
I was listening too much to California this weekend.
it's great. each song is distinctive in its own right, but there's this creepy surrealism, akin to what you'd find in a david lynch movie, pervasive throughout which unifies each individual part into a cohesive whole.
>>60166024
haven't heard of them (i love my mom)
10/10 would be the not-emo outcast of my class again
shhhhh.... dont let em know.... its a seeecretttttt
>>60169691
people comparing things to david lynch always makes me violently angry even when the comparison is called for which it isn't here
Eclectic but enjoyable
>>60168035
its also similar to the sound of Trevor Dunn's Trio Convulsant
>>60167491
Did you start listening to bungle yesterday?
>>60169972
tru i enjoyed those albums a lot too
too bad all he seems to do now is wait around for john zorn or mike patton to put him in one of their projects
Techno Allah is pretty neat. After School Special's first half is cool
dont know him
cant risk me mom
it is something i do not know about
>>60166024
Great album. I love Mr. Bungle.
>>60169948
it is called for though, bungle's sensibilities have been clearly influenced by lynch's work (they've even samples lines from his films), and disco volante is the work of theirs most indebted to him. the album has a similar sense of humor and creepiness found in most of lynch's films, whereas the self-titled has more of a demented carnivalesque feel and california feels like a surrealist take on the west coast of the u.s.
>>60166024
nice
>>60166024
6.5/10
Too much just random noise, if Mike cut out all the "so experimental" shit it would be much better
>>60166055
this
california is better
>>60170264
keep spouting shit you basic bitch tryhard
>>60171508
literal pleb
My 6th grade computer class teacher had this image as his profile pic on whatever network our computers where on or whatever. He was a kinda weird guy but I always felt I got along with him :)
s/t and California are great, Disco Volante isn't up my alley
It's a fun listen.
only had time for the first 2 song they sound nice, can my mom be safe now?
All three Bungle albums are great because they are very different when compared with each other. But they still manage to sound like Mr Bungle albums.
However Disco Volante is my favourite. The atmosphere is so intense and eerie. Also it was the first Bungle album I purchased. Looking back I was little bit an outsider in high school.
Favourite tracks are Carry Stress In The Jaw, The Bends and Merry Go Bye Bye.
It's definitely a musical project.
I don't know shit about it, I just figured I should save my mom
>>60166024
It's great, creative, Patton-Dunn-y album. I love it and I have it on vinyl.
Pls leave my mother alone
>>60170084
BEACAUSE SHE COOOOKS
>>60168284
>tone deaf
That's probably the worst criticism you could give him. Even if you don't dig his music, he still objectively hits pitches.
>>60166055
same
i think everything to do with mr bungle sucks
i love you mom
It sucks
>>60166024
it's great
first track is pretty shit tho
>>60166024
overrated and mr bungle is metal for people who don't like metal in the first place
My arse is ablaze!
>>60174219
So basically it's metal for adults
not as good as California
>>60166024
haven't listened to it but I like mike patton
>>60166024
i dont know what that is
I like the cover
>>60174386
listen to it
>>60166055
me neither
love ya mom
>>60166024
Patton is boring and so is this album
goat
Not my favorite Mr.Bungle album, that would be California, but it's strong as fuck.
never listened to it but from what I've heard of the first track it's fucking cool
Sleep II is so jammin'. Ma Meeshka is odd and sporadic so it's interesting and gets people interested in the album. The rest is not too bad but not very notable.
S'alright
a fantastic slab of avant prog. best track is Platypus
>>60166055
Same
goat
>>60166055
This but california was great, s/t was hit or miss
>>60173353
disco volante also combines the claustrophobia of eraserhead with the menace of frank booth in blue velvet. there also parallels in the way both lynch and bungle explore the darker side of seemingly idyllic facets of our culture (for lynch 50esque suburbia, for bungle genres such as lounge, pop, doo-wop).
but by all means, keep being an ignorant faggot who responds with anger when shown to be incorrect :)
Merry Go Bye Bye is actually a really beatiful song.
>>60174219
i first discovered mr. bungle when i was a long-haired thrash metal fanatic, and i've loved them ever since
Fuck the fags in this thread
The first track is the best song
>>60166024
Probably the best Bungle album, although I prefer California.
phlegmatics is better than your favourite song
I prefer California, but this is a excellent album
>>60166024
0/0
>>60166024
it's fantastic, probably patton's best project
Le bump
>>60166024
I haven't heard it
My mother's already dead but it's one of my favourite albums of all time.
Changed my outlook on what music could be when I first heard it.
Amazing album, my second fav Mr. Bungle after California
>>60166024
never heard of him/her/it/them
love it, but i kinda prefer s/t over it and california
their s/t reminds me of the red hot chili peppers if they were forced to make music in a carnival hellscape
>>60178990
s/t is a great album, but i feel like the overuse of outro samples begins to detract from its quality with subsequent listens. hearing someone take a shit or clips from children's educational shows for so long only really works the first time around imo.
While i hope everyones momz has been okay, im glad mike patton has been forcing mu to discuss his music lately, im always down for that shit
I like tomahawk
>>60179106
>I like tomahawk
me too but i thought oddfellows was weak. they moderated their sound too much. their interesting style of alt metal works really well on their first two, but my favorite has always been anonymous. not often you hear alt metal melded with traditional native american music, and i think they pulled it off really well.
great record, one of Patton's best
que?
>listening to Meeshka Ma Skwoz for the first time
>song fades out
wow that sound was fucking insane. patton's got a great vocal ran-
>AH
>>60167403
Tomahawk and faith no more are still active and recording, be thankful theres at least something bro
It would be awesome if patton made a second clowncore funk masterpiece after like 15 years tho
it's ok
>>60179238
>It would be awesome if patton made a second clowncore funk masterpiece after like 15 years tho
Mike Patton is an old fart just listen to Tub Ring they do it better than Mike could ever do it now
THE DEATHS WERE FAKE
THE LAUGHS WERE CRIES
>>60180412
>Tub Ring
great band
drake equation is almost as good as bungle's self titled
>>60180520
I prefer fermi paradox but they are all great :)
>>60166024
gud
Mr. Bungle is some tryhard pretentious bullshit
good album, a tad too quirky though
>>60180647
>implying the secret song isn't fucking hilarious in context
>>60166055
samer
It's good
