In terms of Japanese artists, I just saw Acid Mother Temple on Friday. They're pretty much here every year though, always a good show really.

As for AOTYSF they're mostly western releases (TPAB, The Epic, a bunch of different metal albums), nothing's wowed me too much in terms of Japanese releases, though I haven't listened too to many (not sure how to keep up with the releases over there tbh).

I need your help /jmg/
Somebody posted this album in a sharethread a while back and I've fallen in love with it. I wanted to find something similar but I haven't had any luck yet. The problem is that I'm not familiar with japanese music (the vocals in this recording are one of the main reasons I like it as much as I do, that's why I haven't tried looking much at music from other countries) or the genre it belongs to (it reminds me of post-rock in a way, but there's clearly a lot more than that going on). If anyone knows about anything similar or even any clue of where I should be looking it'd be much appreciated.

I think the Boris albums are going to be just fine. With all the speculation concerning the content, I wouldn't mind a nice break back to their drone stuff. With those pictures of Wata in the "False Demon" shirt, I'm half expecting a new Merzbow split which would be pretty cool.

On the topic of Merzbow/Boris splits, if anyone has any to share they would be greatly appreciated. I can't get enough of them.
In return, I've been really digging Pulse Demon, so I'll share that.

Can you buy these anywhere?

I see them on Discogs but I can't find them anywhere. I'm tired of all their noise / drone / doom stuff being hard to find or expensive.
