Well, then, as fedoric as it sounds, I think most people just don't get the show. It's a different type of comedy than the US version in that has multiple layers of subtlety. It's much less obvious in its delivery, as it doesn't give you the cue to when you should be a laughing or when a joke is being made. It's much more realistic and, unfortunately, I think a lot people aren't used to that and just write off the entire show.
