Rockbox? Why not just use the ipod manager component for foobar.

Rockbox is more customizable obviously, but if you just want a way to put stuff on your iPod w/o iTunes, then just use the manager component.

I've never even owned an iPod before and I knew of it. Damn son.
No, it just overwrites your iPod's OS with a custom firmware. Not sure if it's reversible or anything though; just Google it up.

Again just Google it up. Lots of people use it. Makes your iPod better than anything Apple could ever hope to make.

Anyone know if it's better to use themes? I've used a couple in the past and they just fucked up my foobar so now i have theme ptsd.

What are some decent themes that work well, still allow you to manage everything, and wont mess everything up?

It's no foobar, but it gets the job done. I miss having a waveform seekbar though, can't believe that's not a standard feature on all music apps.
