Quadraverb
>>
Amp reverb or the natural reverb of the room. I play post rock frequently but I don't lean on reverb. I think reverb is the second most unnecessary effect to add to guitar next to modulation.
>>
>>53654034
What's wrong with effects?
>>
>>53654034
are you fucking retarded?
reverb makes an otherwise boring clean arpeg guitar piece ineresting and adds feeling. it makes stuff sound big, go the fuck to sleep you virgin.
>>
>>53653991

Definitely Digitech Wammy. *It has Octave* Reverb can be set up in the Amplifier if you buy the new Orange Line.

Holy grail is pretty sweet too but I use the holy stain for other shit as well. Best multi-effect pedal I have ever owned. The reverb is amazing and the other effects are also mindblowing.

Do you really rely on reverb to make something sound interesting? Reverb is great when used on top of something good, but most people just use it to mask something that is boring musically.

Got it for 5 bucks at guitar center they were about to throw it away. If i crank the decay it goes for about 23 seconds
>>
>>53655497
I wouldn't say that reverb masks things that are musically bad, if anything it adds another level of depth to a piece since you have to be conscience of what you just played along with what you are going to play next. If anything reverb masks bad playing rather than things that are bad musically. Granted this is a synth, but the echo adds levels of depth to what would just be a simple arpeggio.

Big sky, Wet reverb, AKG spring units, German plates, pre-80's Fender spring reverbs.
Could also get thirty feet or so worth of springs and then turn up the mic volume on the decay like at the end of A Day in the Life.
>>
>>53655302
I got one of these for my birthday and I love how versatile it is. You can get so many different tones out of it.

Literally any other option would be better. Spring tanks on an amp, digital rack units. Whatever. I just hate how lame reverb pedals are.

>>
what would you guys recommend concerning delay or distortion pedals? All i know is BOSS
>>
>>53656172
the boss ones are totally fine for basic stuff. what is good depends on your needs and how many options you want
>>
>>53656172
>delay
Boss dd series
Tc electronic pedals, very good and versatile for the money
Memory man, more of an echo, but very versatile, is pretty hard to learn for a noob. I'm just learning mine after owning it almost a year.
Line 6 dl4, great pedal

>stortion
Big muff
Boss D's-1
Proco rat
Tube screamer
Fuzz factory
Klon centaur
Marshall guv'nor
A tube amp cranked up with a fairly hot guitar in front

That's just a few

I generally just use the tank in my amp (Peavey Delta Blues), but I tried this out at a shop a while back. Pretty good.

I just bought a Quadraverb but the screen is going bad :'( I'm gonna have to return it, it's such a shame, the sounds were amazing

Favourite guitar effect in general?
>>
>>53657267
No, fuck you.
I'm gonna buy a Behringer reverb and have money leftover for a dollar sweet tea.

I'm curious though, for the price why not get a Strymon Big Sky?
>>
>>53657420
Play them side by side. Use the black hole setting. Shit your pants.
>>
>>53657420

not poster, but I think this is the only eventide that edges out strymon.
>>
>>53657420
The Bigsky is the most overrated reverb ever.
It's good, but it,s not the logical end to reverb
>>
>>53657420
the eventide has a lot of features. its basically a rack unit in a pedal box
>>
>>53657396
buy a new screen
>>
>>53657396
well at least quadraverbs are easy to find.
my favourite pedal is probably my compressor honestly but i like my zvex lofi pedal a lot too
>>
>>53657605
i'll just get another one when I get my money back, the shop sold me a broken unit, I'm not gonna pay more
>>
>>53657647
That sucks, definitely return it then.

Really a Boss DD-7 is all you could ever need for digital delay unless you're doing really fucking weird stuff.
>>
>>53657678
uh so buy another one. they are not exspensive

I use my Holy Grail for spring sounds and the TC Electronic Hall of Fame for all my other heavily drenched reverbs.

2nd this, it's the most important pedal on my board, though I sorely miss the 2nd favorite and the adjustable mod channel that the Big Sky offers.
