What the fuck should I tag all this shit as? Unselected Works?
How are ya'll organizing it? One big ol' folder/album, or splitting into "discs" or volumes?
I'm obviously sorting them by upload order.
he just made his whole "time to start producing new stuff" speech when Syro launched, so this is probably more of drawing the line between knew and old like he wanted to do with Syro
the caustic window account is most likely someone from watmm/XLT epic trolling :^)
it had a clip of teddy oggie (wisp track) on it earlier which should be a ded giveaway that its not RDJ
>tuss ep comes out
>tuss album announced as forthcoming on rephlex site
>watmmers set up fake tuss myspace accounts to shill their squelchy breaky ~braindance~ (e: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFZ7RhsiSjQ - lol)
>one of which has the teddy oggie track on it
>teddy oggie finally released 2 yrs later on rephlex

>Tracks With Beats Like Bbydhyonchord
>“There1s maybe only one track, number seven ("Bbydhyonchord"), that is slightly different, different kind of beat or whatever. And I1ve done loads of stuff like that and I just don1t want to release it.”
GET FUCKING HYPE NEGROES
i dont need my hand held, "fuckhead"
some suggestions or alternate ideas would be nice, /mu/ users seem to be very keen to offer their opinions on stuff.
But if no one can decide on something sensible, I'll just do my own thing.

Aphex Twin - Shitty 128kbps Rips Of That Time He Put Out A Bunch Of Shit On Soundcloud
>How are ya'll organizing it? One big ol' folder/album, or splitting into "discs" or volumes?
I make folders, and then use my Aphex Twin-themed tarot cards to decide where each track goes
jdownloader is good for bulk-d/ling all this, in case the mega links are slow/full of fakes
>Artist - Aphex Twin
>Album - Serious Tunes For Nice People
>Track Numbers - order they have been posted
>Artwork - pick your favourite from the sound cloud or the ones in the previous thread

I'm in utter shock that this is happening.
I've spent 20 years of my life in that glorious early 90s aphex sound. those tunes have been my friends, my companions in so many experiences.
And now there are 57+ more of them just lying around on soundcloud.
i'm somewhat paralyzed.
>my face if he ever gets round to uploading unreleased '95+ breakbeat fuckery
>mfw richard drops his str8 fire mixtape in this soundcloud
>12 beat rough tune
I hope u guys are ready for the windowlicker hip-hop version.
majority of the previous uploads sounded to me like dj tools/bangers from when he was still wet behind the ears - not to say that some of them weren't still great, but still
looks like the tracks he's uploading now are from an evolved phase
The SAW Sessions
>nothing uploaded in half an hour
welp its over, see you in another 13 years rich
I guess the cat spit up all those trax then
wtf is this bullshit.
Most of the girls I've fucked and/or loved don't talk to me any more.
meanwhile glorious aphex tunes have been with me my whole life.
I fucking love aphex like no other.
it's ok, he can always just make more trax
Sleep easy Rich.
this this this
has anyone called Scaruffi on his bullshit regarding his reviews of the pre-Twoism tapes, for that matter
maybe when we least expect it?
maybe if people gave a shit they'd dump everything
they need their self esteem boosted
>tfw someone is mentioning Squarepusher in a positive light in the 2010s
feels so good. Do you think Autechre's work is still relevant? I think they have the best current output on Warp.
whoever created aventurs shoul do something similar to this where they just make like 50 new comics and upload them all at once : )
Here's the translation for that page, there are other references floating around the internet as well, just google it.
>people actually think they will release their old material
You certainty dont know boc
Maybe all their old songs are on R35TMT
Using a tape he gave his friend is corny as fuck and irrevelant completely to these recordings...
I'm just gonna use this great logo art that came with the mega download OP posted.
I get the impression that RDJ doesn't care too much about track ordering anyway. I recall he even said in an interview about Drukqs that he wanted people to make their own tracklists of it.
Yeah, back when they were searching for a label, authechre told them to go to SKAM.
I think they did two records:twoism and hi scores
But then their demo tape "boc maxima" was leaked and pissed them off and they dropped them. Thats how they ended uo at warp
No one even knows if R35TMT is authentic, but it is believed to be.
Damn. It usually seems like people who do electronic music are pretty chill about letting people hear their music from any source (as Aphex seems to be). I guess BoC are an exception, still like their music though. Hope it all sees the light of day someday.
in one of the recent potentially fake interviews, he talked about how he had hundreds of ancient tunes (obviously these) he was preparing for release, and how it felt like he was preparing his own tombstone, and just ... couldn't do it (and suggested anonymous internet posting)
This is how I'm gonna catalog things
At this point, I view user48736353001 as just another odd pseudonym to add the RDJ pile
the original digital recording is actually a radio rip afaik
though there has been recently a better quality version released online that is apparently sourced from a cdr belonging to a friend of one of the guys from autechre
but yeah boc maxima pretty much is a release as rare as play by numbers and all the other early albums. just, it wasn't the thing that got boc to migrate from skam to warp, far from it.
does this mega library pretty much have all that we have access to in terms of BoC stuff?
Was thinking of scrounging the BoC forum for some rare goodies, but it might be a waste of time if that library already as all that we've found so far.
>mfw he's trying to avoid pitchfork faggots by changing his user every time an article is posted about it
Thank you, richard
p4k shits prob dont even know how to DL from the Soundcloud account
13 High Hats is fucking DOPE! Glad hes releasing more modern stuff now, the ambient stuff was great but this stuff is on a new level, and lets just hope the bar keeps rising. Love you RDJ!
*100% OFFICIAL TAGGING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE GREAT AFX SOUNDCLOUD DUMP OF 2015*
Artist Name: Aphex Twin (simply naming it Aphex Twin avoids confusion over when/where/how these tracks were created and for what purpose, allows for easy categorisation in media players and also aligns with his most recent output being released under the Aphex Twin moniker)
Album Name: Serious Tunes For Nice People (this is NOT a selection of ambient tracks, the sound cloud username has changed multiple times so there is no consistency in using it, and STFNP is a direct reference to an unreleased cassette mix of demos and miscellaneous tracks Richard once made for a friend)
Track titles: EXACTLY as they are on Soundcloud, numbers included
Track Numbers: Numbered according to their order of posting on Soundcloud (e.g. 8 Utopia is track 1, 13 High Hats Tune Tamclap Orig is track 58)
Year: 2015 (this avoids confusion)
Additional: include the Soundcloud notes on each track in the comments/ notes section of each track
Album Art: this is ultimately according to your preference, but >>53172756 is the preferred option as it is a collage of the album art uploaded for the soundcloud tracks
>put album in new playlist
>play mode: shuffle
it's like discovering an alternate universe's version of afx's '91-'94 discog
I don't understand what IDM is, don't think I ever have, because people always say something that is tagged as IDM isn't actually IDM. (Or were you just making a point of how it sounds pretentious? [which would be a really original input]) Maybe it doesn't even exist.
Well, you're forgetting their remixes and unreleased stuff like their old website intros, etc...
And yeah, I know Sdesis is not theirs, but is so fucking awesome that I've decided to keep together
I believe that Symbonsad was the first upload, but it was named Bimbongo and then deleted.
Bimbongo and then Symbonsad were then uploaded later
the current order has lasted the longest
Scrobbling them without the album name. Fuck your invented tags.
caustic window keeps posting smug smiley faces in some of the tracks
