the new Panda Bear
Bishop Nehuru and MF DOOM colab, it had like two DOOM verses. And Nehuru is very average.
>>52759326
wasnt that album supposed to focus on nehru as doom took him under his wing
Why did you think Syro was a disappointment? I think it was a pretty solid album, not one of his best, but definitely not a disappointment.

You're right.
>>52759621
This is their best album. Listen to it again

no fuck off this is a good album
>>52759895
hahahahaha
>>52759105
one of my favourite aphex album
btw http://www.groove.de/2014/12/25/25-questions-for-aphex-twin/ nice interview
>>52759105
why is there such a big divide on the new aphex album ?
>>52762275
because its a new release after a long period of nothing. its the way things work.
>>52759439
yes, but Nehru is just ok so...
>>52759621
are you deaf?
>>52762275
he also admittedly made it an accessible realese, putting aphex fanboys and girls up in arms as a wider audience was undoubtedly reached with this album
>>52762275
his other albums had a nice progression in sound, but Syro seemed a bit safe i guess
King of limbs
>>52762528
Maybe safe yes, but tracks here definitely has some nice progressions, and this is one of the biggest benefit in this album
>>52762543
On release maybe but it has grown a LOT.
>>52762474
How is this album more accessible than his other stuff? How is this more accessible than say the Richard D. James album or his ambient stuff.
>>52762557
by progression i meant a progression in his sound and his music
i did like Syro though, had plenty of good tracks, just not particularly amazing, like a 6/10
>>52762562
time release enjoyment lol
it was the opposite for me, I loved in rainbows so much I convinced myself KOL was good, but that slowly washed away into crushing disappointment
>>52762615
Really? What's so "crushingly" bad about TKOL?
>>52762637
its probably just my pleb taste but the frooty loops drums, the constant glitch shit. makes for an unappealing listen. I prefer reckoner and weird fishes, stuff like that.
>>52759105
fuck off ya wanker
>>52762609
I think it's accessible to the extent that it's pretty much what you'd expect from his earlier releases. Richard D. James album, etc. was fairly challenging when it came out, but music has evolved to the point where people have gotten used to it. There was plenty of that kind of shit around by 2002 or so.
>>52759475
It didn't live up to the massive hype. Same reason people disliked Tomorrow's Harvest.
Songs get boring quickly.
Really misses that one thing that made Interpol great.
>Carlos D
I give it a 7/10.
>>52762782
That's the problem with every meme album. I can't bear to listen to new releases at all anymore for exactly that reason.
>>52762782
it lived up to the hype IMHO
>>52759628
I'm calling this.
>>52762837
meme album? plesae just gtfo
>>52762782
>Why did you think Syro was a disappointment?
>It wasn't as good as I thought it was.
That's the fucking definition of being disappointed you utter mongoloid.

>Beatwife
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwmUV58W1Vc
I remember when he uploaded these videos to YouTube and almost everyone thought it was RDJ.
>>52762942
beatwife is the fucking man, i liked that version of fluskings better than the album version he released
>>52762609
look at question 11 in this interview with him: "I selected the tracks of the album and made it pretty accessable. It’s one of my pop albums, so I kind of know what kind of reaction it will get.”

perhaps you should kill yourself then, friend
some silly shit happening over here: http://www.reddit.com/r/aphextwin/comments/2rwcw9/hello/
It was average
>>52764574
>Those airhorns
>>52759326
The dull as fuck production didn't help either.
>>52762782
That's a stupid way to judge an album. Listen to it as its own thing.
>>52759628
inevitable. i really hope IS isn't the best track on jd
Deltron 3030 Part 2
only disappointment was myself :(
Unbelievable flop after demonstrating how much potential they had on the previous album as a reconstructed band.
>>52762795
all the rage back home is the best interpol track ever though
>>52759105
I flip-flopped on Syro so much. It went from a 7/10 to a 4/10 to a 6/10 and now a 5/10
