IT'S THE NINEST OF JANUARY!
The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and, ideally, discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily; these people are in it to venture out of their comfort zone by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.
We track our progress using calendars, which we fill with the albums we listen to on each day, and a rating of some sort for all of them. There are templates in mega link at the end of this post. We encourage you to write the albums' titles and the artists' names somewhere on your calendar. We don't have any tools for creating these calendars; we use simple image editing softwares.
You can predetermine a schedule for a month, or you can report back on whatever album you randomly picked every day. Many of us make our schedules interesting in various ways, popular ones being genre restrictions, new releases, and recs from the /daily/ community.
We used to do listen alongs, but we don't really have the time anymore. For this, we had a plug.dj room, which we still use occasionally to hang out for a little while. It's usually empty, so if you want to spend a little time there, post in the thread; there most likely will be someone up for it. You can find it here:
In case plug.dj is not working, we have a backup wavelength room. You can find that here:
>wavelength.fm/stripey's
The threads usually start around 15:00 GMT. Anyone can start the threads, but usually one of /daily/'s dedicated trips starts them. If the thread is not yet up by 15:30 GMT, we encourage you to start it! Just be sure to use the standard OP. Of course Aqam a shit so you can start it earlier than that too.

That's just how things go around here. If anyone asks, it's the 2nd of October.
So today I listened to Tonetta's "666", a lo-fi sort of indie funk album. It had a really really really really really nice cock.
For all its fun, its tracks didn't flow very well and its themes were all over the place. Some tracks reminded me of Xinlisupreme, other tracks would be great for the ol' in-out-in-out, and a few of them are just kind of funky but not in the Baby Huey way.
It was a'ight. I could see myself performing strange things involving booty blasting to this album, which is enough for a decent rating. I just wonder what would happen when John and Yoko came on.
Shit would get hardcore, that's for sure. Then it would go back to normal, kind of funky but not in a Baby Huey kind of way. So yeah, this album was obviously an album to shag to. So let's ignore all my quips about it and have a good ol' fashion nighttime twister instead.
Except yeah it still wouldn't be that great an album for that purpose... at least for my taste.
666/10.

I'm amazed to see future garage bounce back, and for seapunk getting anything at all.
>>52740284
I heard Astral Weeks was god-tier baroque pop but I keep putting it off for some reason

by the 31st this is going to be a literal portal to hell
This album was quite a let down, I expected much more.
I did thoroughly enjoy the last track but almost all of the others were just too slow, bland, and plain unexciting.
59/100
and now I'm all caught up!
