Any 10/10 music documentaries that you'd recommend? I'm on Christmas break from college, and would love to have a nice list to watch.

this is really good, documentary itself is as minimal hypnotically paced as the music throughout

>>52276258
jesus christ, i cant even imagine the state of the records at the bottom of those stacks
>>
>>52276374
it's not as if they're for being listened to in pristine quality

probably only used for sampling fragments of sound here and there. record being warped ain't no thing- might even add an interesting effect if anything
>>
>>52276258
when I first saw the thumbnail, I thought it was going to be doc on music collectors or something like that. I want to see a doc on that.
>>
>>52276346
Pepperoni Playboy on Mac Demarco is pretty entertaining and relatively short

We Jam Econo is another good one. Minutemen docoumentary.
>>
If you're into Radiohead, 'Meeting People is Easy' is a great look into the band's mental state during the OK Computer era. It's pretty depressing actually, but interesting.

Backstory, it's about the fortunes of two bands The BrianJonesTown Massacre and the Dandy Warhols who signed onto a major label. It's about how BJTM and it's leader Antone Newcome spectacularly fuck up everything like an indie version of spinal tap while the Warhols who were once indie become caricatures of bad mainstream label acts trying to live of pseudocredability. its such a good film you need to watch it
>>
Watch the Pitchfork Classics series
>>
>in the late 90s, a foreveralone interviews other foreveralones that are addicted to collecting thousands of records
Its actually really endearing and entertaining

lol wow its what /mu/tants would be like without an internet connection enabling sitting on the internet all day shitposting and posting charts without reccing

"Hit So Hard"
It's about Patty Schemel, the drummer for the band Hole and her trials and tribulations. Really, it a good look at Hole in general and, thought that lens, the larger popular music culture in the early and mid '90s. Oh, and Cortney Love is clearly intoxicated during her interviews, which is always entertaining. It can get a little SJW in parts, but it's about the junkie lesbian drummer from Hole, so it kinda comes with the territory.
