Summary time:

Marcel is a 14-year-old wannabe music journalist/"ambient musician" who used to viral his music on this site at one point, until /mu/ started making fun of his music and his RYM reviews.

Devin Ruben-Perez of the band DIIV hung out here for a few weeks to answer questions every so often, using a tripcode. At one point, he told Marcel "fuck you" to his face, it is speculated.

Marcel, looking for revenge, cherrypicked some posts of Devin's that use potentially offensive language, screencapped them, and blogged them on Tumblr as an "exposé" of racism, homophobia and sexism occurring within the band. He then sent these images to music news outlets, and they reported on them in the most clickbaity way possible. Zach Cole has been forced to confront Devin, and we're waiting to see how that turns out.
