One of my favourite aesthetics is "retro futurism" what people in the mid 20th century thought the future would look like.
What music that compliment this style?

Kraftwerk. Specifically "The Man-Machine"
Space age pop and other synth music from the 50s and 60s
progressive rock
Vaporwave
Italo-disco
Ambient music / downtempo music like Solar Fields
Doopees - Doopee Time
Capsule - S.F. Sound Furniture

I never heard the term space age pop before, listening to that astro-sounds now, you're spot on with that man.

I'll check out solar fields but the other two are too new, I think I'm looking for pre-70's style

Vaporwave kinda works imo because much of it samples 80s music.
But if it's too recent, how about Jean Michel Jarre? Albums like Oxygene? Real old school synthesiser electronica
>>51880248
It's cheesy and pretty dated but it can be fun to listen to
Look for those old guys who played with the Moog, Gerson Kingsley, Mort Garson, Jacques Perrey
space disco
i feel artists like Pertubator can give those kinda of feel, with a dystopian spin of course

I thought of Mort Garson as well

superficial and secretly promiscuous.
love it.
this stuff will blow your mind
they weren't far off with a lot of this stuff
the biggest mistake they all made was that everything looks clean
Here's something that is a little bit old fashioned for the era, but it'll do
