>r&b soul singing in metal songs

Interesting.
In a subgenre in particular?
>>
not really a fetish but i completely adore some musician's singing voices
like Meredith Monk
i remember 2 years ago when i thought "what the fuck is this insect screaming shit"
lol
>>
>>51730792
other based singing voices include but are not limited to:
moe kamura
keiji haino
djong yun
zhou xuan

Classical instruments in rock music, drum solos, cryptic lyrics and distorted basslines.

so nmh?
>>
>>51731347
I don't find NMH to really be rock. They have elements of it, but I'd say they're much more folk than rock.

folk music
>noun
music that originates in traditional popular culture or that is written in such a style. Folk music is typically of unknown authorship and is transmitted orally from generation to generation.
>>
>>51731463
stop being so pedantic. he obviously means contemporary folk
>>
>>51730668
There's a lot of sax impro in early prog rock I reckon. Also reccing Clément Bello on bandcamp for eclectic stuff that contains sax
>>
>>51731481
contemporary folk is basically just acoustic rock tho
>>
>>51730668
Check out Fleet Foxes' The Shrine/An Argument live. There is a bitchin', totally free bass clarinet solo in the middle and I love it.

riffs riffs riffssss
also a mix of female and male vocals within a song, there's something really magical about it.

the shine on brass instruments is incredibly erotic
the hole on a trumpet is inviting and it makes me want to come inside

This, but fr me I like it more in songs like Lucretia My Reflection

>>
>>51732022
okay so i'm giving it a listen, mixed feelings about the vocals. i like them in the softer parts of the song but they seem to weaken when the instrumental gets more intense. still, not bad. i'll make sure to listen through the whole album later on.

Whenever great singers really strain their voices. Something to do with feeling the huge effort involved and that they can't quite reach the note without their voice cracking a little. Not quite the same as just having a naturally raspy voice, but I do like that too.

yeah, the album does suffer from the instruments being too loud, I noticed that on my walk to work today listening to the albums, still, if you like music like slint (I think Post-hardcore is the genre) then you should check them out, they only have about 2 releases.

If I'm not mistaken one of the vocalists died recently
>>

i'm more fond of doom metal, psychedelic and stoner rock but certain power and thrash metal tracks appeal to me. thanks for the reccs i'll check em out

i want to be lauren's little baby tampon boy. i want to turn into a little crying baby and then suck on her breasts. her magic breast milk would turn me into a little baby tampon boy. she would stick me into her hoo-hoo and i would wait with anticipation spouting little baby goo-goo ga-gas waiting for her to bleed all over me. i want to feel her lauren mayberry blood inside my little goo-goo ga-ga baby tampon body. i want to absorb her hoo-hoo juices inside my little baby tampon boy body and goo-goo ga-ga like a little rolly-polly baby boy. it would be orgasmic to know i am one with her hoo-hoo lauren mayberry blood and i would giggle and goo-goo ga-ga and yelp with little baby boy excitement as i roll around in her lauren mayberry hoo-hoo and revel in her red juices, slurping them into my soft little baby tampon boy goo-goo ga-ga body. then i want her to pull me out and squeeze and wring my little baby tampon boy body so that her lauren mayberry hoo-hoo blood and juices spill all over her lauren mayberry face. it would hurt and i would scream in pained goo-goo ga-gas as pain envelops my little baby tampon boy body until i reach full climax and turn back into grown human man.
