I'd like to watch some more movies. Any recommendations for movies with good soundtracks?
Pic very related.
>Django Soundtrack except the dumb rick ross track.
>The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou soundtrack is fucking stellar for Seu Jorge alone.
>and the Her soundtrack if u need some chill background noise
>The Score From The Motion Picture (500) Days of Summer
Mychael Danna & Rob Simonsen
the pop songs were pretty good too
>Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
and again, pop songs were a good fit
Tarkovksy's movies have pretty great soundtracks. Stalker in particular.
It's not leh quirky indeh flick like most of the stuff mentioned so just make sure you acknowledge that going in.
exactly. Tartovksy's flicks are like endurance challenges, but they're some of the most rewarding movies around, visually, thematically, and musically.
>the world does not need 4 hour art house films
yr in the wrong board brudder
It's pretty ignorant to dismiss 4 hour art house films just because they're long or difficult to watch. You can't ignore the shit that influenced some of the biggest names out there. Nolan fags might want to fuck the dark knight trilogy, but Nolan himself got most of his ideas from german expressionism, especially Lang's Dr Mabuse trilogy, the first film in that trilogy being 5 hours long.
Agreed. His film reminded me a bit like something Lars Von Trier would do in Melancholia or something. A lot of beautiful cinematography in Confessions, man. I'll definitely keep an eye out for the director's next film.
