let's do an electronic music general, fuck this split seriously
>>
>>51426334
no fuck you, this split is necessary, I don't want to talk techno or house discussions drowning in a sea of AFX shitposting and unoriginal, bland IDM tracks.
>>
>>51426641
do you think that bleep is original ? It's always old school jungle and that's it
>>
>>51426652
no fuck those anglocentric fags too, /bleep/ is not only "muh jungle" or "muh grime".
House and Techno are also discussed there, and it's usually good. Lurk more.
>>
>>51426680
it's very rare, it's almost only l'ingénu who shares very good and varied stuff

but well if you are in the same state of mind we dont need to be fag too

let's dance on the new Bambounou
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ow5pCZqPq9g
>>
>>51426641
>techno or house
>original
>>
>>51426715
British, or American, or whatever, are not the problem, and will never be. It's the obsession with British originated bleep, and the circlejerk around it.
Britain is a birthplace of bleep, and tons of quality sound are coming from there everyday, so don't get me wrong, I'm accusing the state of mind, not the country.

And that Bambounou track is bliss.

tbh, if i lived in london i'd be going to fabric on a regular basis. i didn't even realise how big the place is.

also, to the guy from the previous thread who was looking for someone to tag along with in fabric last night: i'm sorry, but we had to leave for london around 6 and i didn't see your reply.

Stealth/rescue rooms has a good sound system and is nice and big with three rooms, but the crowd there can be a bit bellendish.
There's Brickworks which is my personal fav, it's like a big warehouse-type space with bare brick walls all around.
Marcus Garvey ballroom is probably my least fav as it looks like an old community hall where you'd hold your Aunt's surprise 60th birthday party, plus the sound isn't that good.
Market bar and Lacehouse are both decent venues though they're quite small.
There's also the Irish Centre which is where this upcoming night I mentioned is, but I haven't been there before so I dunno what it'll be like.

>>51431266
>what is your point exactly?
It's just sad that older pioneers are now being commissioned to do remixes for second rate tracks by a pop group that waters down house and garage for the Radio 1 and American EDM crowd.
>>
>>51431138
guessing you werent here a few days ago, there were several people genuinely defending disclosure and arguing against anyone who said settle was soulless/sellout music
>>
>>51431333
I honestly got no idea. But yeah, I think the lyrics on this one are "listen to the mic that was in my neighbourhood" or something like that.
>>
>>51431374
if the ______ isn't the name of some dj and is what you said, then it must be a really early demo version, cool find
>>
>>51431362

all I'm saying is that it's pop music. people are acting like it's absolute shit when there are tons of awful house and garage tracks out there that are worse. it's a lot of twisted undies over nothing.

Is what Disclosure does really so bad though? I'll admit that there are some stinkers on Settle but if it was released under a different name or if they had stayed underground, bleep would be all over it. There are strong heights on Settle, you have to admit that. Older pioneers need to make money too. It's not like they have to stop doing what they're doing and give up their talents to make remixes for Disclosure, there's room for everything. Stop your contrarian ways.
>>
>>51431509
I don't really listen to the pirates much anymore, tbh, but when I'm driving, I'm sometimes listen to Flex FM which is 99.7 or Kool FM which is 94.6. I mostly just listen to Rinse, though.
>>
>>51431340

>>
>>51431846
>but if it was released under a different name or if they had stayed underground, bleep would be all over it.
Nope. The whole album is radio friendly. It's got that Radio 1 glossy production all over it. That's why I don't like it, because it's a pop album foremost and a dance album second.
