What are some good Japanese albums? Basically anything musically related made from Japan, no matter the genre.
Such a vague request makes you sound like a weaboo.

Well music wise you could have picked a much worse country to become interested in. But apart from vocals, it's extremely westernized (like most parts of Japan I guess), so I'm not sure Japanese sounding music exactly exists*, just good music made by Japanese people.
*Excluding Visual-Kei, J-Pop and any music with heavy pre-WW2 influences (which is rare).

Damn good song. Thanks I'll check out the album

I'm looking for something a bit more unique than the rest of the mainstream stuffs as the likes of J-pop and J-rock. Still can be within those genres, but have to be a bit more innovatory, you know.

Well not entirely sure what you mean specifically by innovatory or if you'd find this innovatory but I like it

I mean not generic stuffs you would find in a school life anime or at the end of a Japanese live action movie, sort of like that, but can still be considered j-rock or j-pop. I don't know if those stuffs actually exist or not, just a hypothetical request.
Here's what I know from Glorious Nippon, some of which is left over from my own weeb days.

Kashiwa Daisuke and World's End Girlfriend are essential weebcore albums. (as in that they're shit artists that wouldn't be nearly as popular if they weren't japanese)

Actually saw these guys live in '07 with Tool. They got boo'd off the stage halfway through their set, and Maynard came onstage and say, "HEY, YOU FUCKS. HAVE A LITTLE FUCKING RESPECT FOR THE ARTIST." I bought a CD from them afterward and apologised on behalf of my retarded city.

Why is it always LRD and never Guernica or Phew?
More m-flo. I'm surprised they aren't talked about on /mu/ more often, but then again, I sorta prefer it that way.
