why don't you support your local scene?
I dont like going outside

Personally music is my number one interest, I'm assuming the same of most people who post on this board, why wouldn't you want to experience music in it's most raw and unfiltered form?
>>68122272
I'm going to go ahead and guess it's because he doesn't like going outside
Why don't I see mr. Cohen discussed here? Let's discuss him.

Part of the great 60's narrative folk tradition. A less verbose, flatly un-psychedelic counterpart to Bob Dylan. One of the saddest artists to come out of the era, particularly on the album Songs of Love and Hate, which truly captures the "hate" aspect in a way that never seems close-minded or misogynist (as "hate" albums can become). Allegory and metaphor, address always in a biblical lyricism abound his work.
Really an overlooked guy. If the political spectrum of 60's folk runs with Phil Ochs at one extreme and Bob Dylan in the middle, it would seem L. Cohen excused himself from the discussion.
let em ave it

Why don't I see more about Swans here?
Is this your first day here
Because you've never posted here before in your life.

that album sucks op. people who like it value experimentation over actual musical quality because they don't know shit about music. listen to the seer instead
How hard would it be to kick off another wave of extreme metal in today's world? Scenes are pretty much dead because of the internet. Will there ever be anything like the late 80's and early 90's black metal scene?
What would be the end result if we started wearing corpsepaint again, recording lo-fi metal on 8-track recorders, and only using vintage equipment? What if he started committing acts, and boycotting mainstream culture? You know, refusing to use social media, refusing to sign to major labels, self-releasing everything, refusing to play big venues, opting instead to play house shows and warehouse type settings, with fire and dead animals on stage like Mayhem did? Could we kick off another scene, or is music culture dead forever?
Music "scenes" are dead, for the most part, but it would be fucking cool.
it would just be hipster metal
>>68121605
Try starting your own scene, you're just trying to revive black metal again, which won't happen.
Does any other crackhead got so successful?
thugger.

What are your guys opinions on Elliott Smith?
He's one of my top 10 favorite artists of all time
I enjoy every album he ever put out, but I like his first 3 as a solo artist the most
>>68121179
i think it dont fit the music with how he killed himself
he's dead
I have listen to Aphex Twin Selected 85-92 and Richard D James album.
I like the first album but I find it too long. I don't mind long albums, but it falls apart in the 2nd half. Some of it sounds pretty dated too.
Richard D James I don't like except for Yellow Calx and Girl/Boy song. Its too much bleoopbopblopbopob and other weird noises.
Where do I go from here with his discography?
Or maybe I should check out another IDM artist? Some say check Autechre, others say their discography is hard to get into.
Analord is his best material.
>>68121140
How do you not like Fingerbib or 4?
If you don't like weird noises you're gonna hate Autechre
You could listen to I Care Because You Do which is right in between the two you listened to. You could listen to Selected Ambient Works II for the greatest ambient album and one of the most monolithic and supernatural sounding albums of all time (if you're okay with length, because if you thought SAW1 was long then hooooooooooooly shit). drukqs is a bunch of piano compositions plus every sound he's ever had turned up to 11 and then smashed together so if you want really amazing melodies and songwriting plus ridiculous beats and nightmare-inducing monster noises then this one is good
