that said, he's self-centered, pretentious and a lot of information on his music reviews are just made up
also i'm pretty sure he said in an interview that he only listens to an album once before reviewing it, sometimes not even finishing it

are there any good examples other than the Beatles write up where he just makes stuff up? I've read some of his reviews and not being knowledgeable with the history of bands or anything, I wouldn't be able to tell. Most of what I've read seems to be his opinion, at least that's what I pay the most attention to.

Why did Indie Rock have to die so abruptly?
These were the best days in contemporary music for a long time. The internet was part of 'the scene', it was accessible, it was free, anyone could start a band and anyone could enjoy it.
What happened to all those buzzbands? Do they still exist? Or are they just decaying in the archived graveyard of better times past?
