Wrong pic?
Because that's definitely not their best.

One Hot Minute was fucking fantastic, and the singles were all objectively better songs than their equivalents on their other releases.

A perfect album.
Paperhouse and Walleluhwah are two of the greatest songs on Earth.
That feel when to scared to listen to Can's other stuff because I know it won't live up to Tago Mago
>>71587998
There's no reason to be afraid, my friend.
Honestly though do you guys enjoy the second half of tago mago? I appreciate it's craziness and shit but I'm hardly ever in the mood for it

Really getting into ambient lately. Hook a pleb up with some truly good ambient. I'm really a noob to the genre so recommend anything.
Bonus points if I can fall asleep to it.

not all ambient drones on forever

here's some good entry-level sleep-core ambient:
NASA Voyager Recordings - Symphony of the Planets
Brian Eno - Ambient 1
William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops
2 8 1 4 - 新しい日の誕生
Robert Rich - Somnium

Who here /hype/?
>>71587818
Count me hyped. The songs they have released so far are promising. Specially Andromeda, it has a Blood Mountain feeling to it.
Mastodon is false metal.
>>71587818
pretty hyped tbf. really liked the 3 singles so far
The production on this album was decades ahead of its time, the instrumentals are fucking brilliant. Discussion thread
I have not heard a more boring album

They have a unique approach to death metal but if you admit to liking them you'll be called gay.

Either Mista Thug Isolation or The Money Store.

Honestly probably Pinata because it stands out the most relative to each individual artists' discography
I went to a Swans show in early 97' (96'?) where they were playing their new stuff from Soundtracks for the Blind. Anyway, I managed to snag an after party pass with a friend of mine. The music was good, but what stood out the most to my friend and I was 'I was a Prisoner in Your Skull.' Everything in it was perfect to us, and we couldn't wait to go backstage to ask Gira about the album. So, the concert finished up and we went backstage, giggling like little girls, but all the noise stopped when we saw Gira. I'll have to admit we were a little starstruck, but we both clamoured to ask him a question first, and (unfortunately for him) my friend got there first. So he says to Gira: "What was the story behind the lyrics in 'Prisoner in Your Skull?" So Gira tells us the story everyone's heard before, Jarboe's dad, the FBI, etc. But after Gira finished, my friend made a dangerous mistake and (in an attempt to make banter) said to him: "Ha yeah right." This really set Gira off. As fast as I could realise, Gira had pulled a lamp out of the wall and smashed it over my friend's head, who was now looking dead-eyed up at the ceiling with a massive, gaping hole in his head, all while the band members were doing some sort of primal scream (?) egging Gira on to attack my friend further. Of course I ran away, but I heard the local sheriff was a fan of Swans, so he decided to help keep the murder quiet.
