that's what it is? he's trying to be a non conventional rapper, so he's acting like a fucking weirdo and rapping about shit that isn't 'cool' so hipsters think its cool?
Most of his music sucks dick - it's just cringy and bad. He's not even deep or anything - he tries to be but he's just kind of ignorant it seems. Sure he's making statements about fasion or whatever and expressing yourself but shit, so is young thug and thugger also makes bangers, so...
idk. thoughts?

Looks like he wants to be Frusciante but lacks everything
>Not as good of a singer as Paul
>Not as good of a guitarist as George
>Can't drum at all, barely a better singer than Ringo
>Married a shrill Japanese river kappa who drove a wedge in the bands' relationships and eventually caused the break up.
Why does everyone love this faggot so much again? People act like he's Music Jesus, but he was probably the worst member of The Beatles.
>>71941730
He was the beat of the band, hippies love these guys
>>71941730
Because he's made conservicucks cry for almost 60 years, 37 of those years after his death. Legend.
Eat shit /pol/tard.

I was with you until the last one. Ono was part of the Fluxus art movement when Lennon was still crying about muh dead mum, and has far more significance to the avant-garde (in visual and audio art) than Lennon's pithy attempts at ripping off John Cage's Hymnen ad nauseum ever did.
You really do need to get into the mindset of a Redditor to understand why this band is so popular. These people have never heard adult music in their lifes that wasn't stuff like Tool or Pink Floyd, it was completely alien to them. And they can't enjoy this music because they consider it stupid. They want a band that isn't necessarily smart or innovative or with well-written music, but that appears to be to appeal to their surface-level taste. Because these people live for that mindless self-validation. They don't actually understand what makes for good music or good lyrics, nor have they ever picked a book about music theory. They want to pretend they do so and circlejerk themselves, that's what matters. Tame Impala is just perfect for its demographic: these same college-age self-important Bernouts who "fucking love weed". The entire foundation of the band is built upon the dichotomy between "dude weed lmao" and " the beatles are the best band ever bro". This pseudo-intellectual "Drugs are all that matters, haha I'm so high" bullshit that Kevin Parker shits out in almost every song is what appeals to its listeners. The band doesn't actually have the tact to even begin to offer an interesting presentation or new ideas in the comparison to the entire history of music, so it spouts these edgy teenage glorifications. Nevermind the bean-headed, noodle-limbed band members, or how the intelligent musical structure is non-existent and only comes up when the band wants to beg you to feel something even though it's devoid of substance, or how every one of their albums is a trendy forgettable album of the week memefest with just enough weed references to trick kids into thinking they are smart for understanding them, or how the tracks have somehow been reduced to even more obnoxious caricatures of themselves than before, none of these things matter. What matters is that it appeals to the millenial redditor audience, and that's what's selling Tame Impala.

I don't know man that song 'Cause I'm A Man is pretty good.
I can't tell if this is an edit of the Rick and Morty pasta or if this is the original and the Rick and Morty one is a variation on this.
