Fun Fact : In the early 90's the members of the Norwegian metal band "Mayhem" and Israeli metal band "Salem" were writing to each other a lot.
At some point "Mayhem" members offered "Salem" members to come to Norway to some isolated castle and record metal with them.
"Salem" sent records to "Mayhem", and their bassist, Varg Vikernes, who is known for his extreme racist views got to listen to them.
Vikernes returned a letter to "Salem" telling them the music is great but their topics are shitty. "Salem" vocalist, Zeev Tenenbaum, sent him an angry letter back, and Vikernes responded by sending him a bomb by the mail, which was tracked down by the Israeli security services.
About a year later Vikernes murdered one of his band's members and was convicted for murder.

BUT I'M A CREPE
Radiohead - Creep
What is wrong with being a crepe, anon?

I'M A WEIRD DOUGH
How do you feel about bonus tracks?
>>72279248
I don't really understand them. They're a product of the same creative space as the rest of the album, but either don't fit within the album or aren't good enough to be on it, so the artist just sticks it at the end and says "this is just extra don't judge me if it's bad"? Seems like a cop out, just release a b-sides some day like Kendrick did with Untitled Unmastered.
>>72279248
Personally I like 'em, but I don't let them effect my opinion on the regular release of the album. I wish more artists would just release the bonus tracks and b-sides as a companion album/EP that could be judged by itself
>>72279248
Pretty worthless, if you aren't a fan of the artist and are only checking their album(s) out, it's just unwanted and if you're a fan, it's usually just sub-par material
Post the best music you've recently discovered.

No clue what the "genre" or whatever would be, but what's more music like this?

VGM
>>72278913
why do you put genre in quotes as if it's not a real concept
but this draws similarities to experimental, chiptune and techno derivative stuff
try this https://detund.bandcamp.com/track/marbasy
>>72278956
That's not how I meant the quotes but looking back it does seem like I'm saying """""genre"""""
Thanks yeah, I'm looking for specific recommendations and this sounds really fun so far, thanks.
>>72278919
Thanks for the response friendo!
Why 60-80's popular music is far best than our 10's music? When did it lost all its quality?

I would guess somewhere between 90s-2000s
i know a lot of old people who genuinely think nirvana ruined music
You Know Its Their Best.

0_0;; okay
If it wasn't for some of the rapping this would be a 10/10 album.
When will /mu/ realise its greatness?
>>72278626
I think the problem lies in the fact that it's the follow up to one of the best albums of all time so obviously it could never lead up to the hype
>>72278626
only songs I liked were the rap ones
>>72278626
If it wasn't for the rapping it would simply be the original songs that they purchased the rights to. When will you stop being a pleb?
anybody have the instrumentals version of currents by tame impala? heard it leaked a few weeks ago, but i couldn't find it anywhere
also interested want 'in moment' instrumental
yes i do it's very good.
You could look for them on slsk. I don't have it installed yet, or I would check.
Why didn't Scaruffi give Laughing Stock an 8 too? It's literally a more refined version of Spirit
that's exactly why. he rates albums based on innovation. if something is just a better version of an older album, then it's worse, according to scaruffi.
Come to think of it, at least one of those albums deserved a 9/10 by Scaruffi a standards
>>72278335
Spirit of Eden is a 10 and Laughing Stock is a 9.5. Prove me wrong.
>kendrick: my dna rules y'all dna sucks

What does /mu/ think about Ella Eyer's music?
>mixed race, beautifully stylized curls, fat, choker
Her music is...pop with r&b moments with personable Lorde-esque songwriting?
>>72277961
So you don't like it?
>>72278034
Lad I've never even heard it. It was just a guess.
