Jimi Hendrix is legitimately the most underrated songwriter in popular music history. People appreciate his guitar skills and as an icon he may be a bit overrated; but when it came to the music and Hendrix's masterful songwriting skills and sense of rhythm never heard before or since, he's easily one of the greatest.
