2014 for the most part was a really great year for music, albeit a couple of really overrated records that made it into most if not all AOTY lists - shit like Salad Days and St. Vincent.

I'd say in terms of quality 2014 is far better than 2015 or even 2016.
2016 just had comeback records that no one talks about anymore.

why care about genre names in the first place
